WWE Backlash France Odds For Saturday Morning

It has been three days since I've been able to publish an update about BetOnline's WWE Backlash France odds. That's because, until this morning, I hadn't witnessed any price changes in any of the markets for the event since the previous update.

I revisited the website this morning and all but one of the markets have now been adjusted ahead of tonight's show.

Here's everything I've been able to follow ever since betting began. Be warned, the favourites are all heavy.

World Heavyweight Championship
I'm starting off with the market for Damian Priest .vs. Jey Uso because it's the one which has remained stationary for the past week.

After finding Damian Priest a -800 favourite to retain with a win against Jey Uso - when I first came across the market on Tuesday April 23rd - I later came across Priest at a heavily short -4,000.

Priest's challenger went from +425 to +1,000 in that time.

Undisputed WWE Championship
The Cody Rhodes .vs. AJ Styles market could very well have been the first market I wrote about today because, ever since April 23rd, Rhodes had been priced as a -4,000 fave to beat Styles (+1,000).

It was only sometime between last night and 11:00AM BST today when the bookmakers moved the champion's price down into -5,000.

As you'll be able to see, in the table above, even though Rhodes' price has shortened, the bookmakers have kept AJ Styles at +1,000.

The Bloodline .vs. Randy Orton and Kevin Owens
The market for Solo Sikoa and Tama Tonga's meeting with Randy Orton and Kevin Owens had The Bloodline members priced as -500 favourites when I first became aware of it. A day later, the faves' odds had fallen into -1,000 and remained there right up until today when they were cut once more. This time, they were placed at -1,500.

A win for Orton and Owens was initially priced up at +300. It has since moved out to +600 after its three-day stop at +550.

WWE Women's Championship
As I noted on Tuesday, BetOnline sent me an email to announce the release of three Backlash markets. Two of those markets were showing differing prices by the time I visited the website eleven minutes after receiving the communication.

In the case of Bayley's WWE Women's Championship defence, in the triple threat match opposite Tiffany Stratton and Naomi, the bookies told me they had the titleholder at -400. By the time I visited the website, those odds appeared to have dropped into -450.

Bayley's odds were lowered into -800 by Wednesday morning. Then, when I visited the website later that day, she was at a shorter -1,500.

Upon today's browse through the markets, I noticed Bayley had been moved into -2,000.

With the bettors evidently siding with Bayley, her opponents have obviously drifted out with Stratton's price as the match's second-favourite rising from +250 to +650 and Naomi has been pushed to +1,800 from +750.

WWE Women's Tag Team Championship
Just like with the WWE Women's Championship market, I noticed a change in the prices BetOnline emailed me and those that appeared on the website on Tuesday evening.

As you'll be able to see - the team of Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill were priced up at -2,000 faves to beat the champions - Asuka and Kairi Sane (The Kabuki Warriors). However, when I accessed the site, I noticed the firm had Belair and Cargill at -1,000 meaning there could potentially have been early money coming in on the champs because their price contrasted from +700 into +550.

I was surprised to see the titleholders' price lowered because - in my opinion - it makes complete sense for Belair and Cargill to be crowned champions for many reasons. One of which is that, with the tag champions floating from brand-to-brand, having Belair and Cargill with the belts allows the two Smackdown-affiliated wrestlers to compete on Raw as well. The company evidently has big ideas for Cargill and, with Bianca Belair being the first overall pick in the 2024 WWE Draft, it's obvious she remains a priority as well.

Anyway, back to the betting, the punters seem to have made the correct moves (in my opinion!) because the challengers' odds have finally returned to -2,000. They did so today after spending three days as -1,500 faves.

Those who believe the Kabuki Warriors will retain with the W can currently find them at +700. They were moved back to that number after ascending to +600 a little over three days ago.
