Jey Uso has just won the 2025 WWE Royal Rumble.
From a betting perspective, it should come as a surprise because he closed at +2,000 in BetOnline's outright Rumble winner market.
It is worth noting that Uso was backed on Friday night because his price was at +2,500. There was a period in the early hours when the sportsbook had taken Jey's selection off the board.
The selection had returned by the time I accessed the website at 10:15AM GMT.
UK sportsbook - Sky Bet - also had Uso at the equivalent of +2,000 when its market closed ahead of the PLE's start.
Uso started off at +1,800 when BetOnline's market was first installed in November, but had drifted out to +6,600 around the time when he was set to challenge Gunther on last week's edition of Saturday Night's Main Event.
Earlier in the evening, Charlotte Flair won the Women's Royal Rumble as an odds-on favourite.
