'Who Will Buy The UFC?' Betting

Following the news that the UFC is being floated around to potential bidders, the oddsmakers at PaddyPower.com have opened a book where customers can have a bet on the company/conglomerate that ends up purchasing the successful MMA promotion.

The news of a potential sale was reported by ESPN's Darren Rovell. In his piece, Rovell states that Dalian Wanda Group is the favourite. This business is owned by China's most wealthiest man, Wang Jianlin.

The Dalian Wanda Group is the favourite in this market at odds of 4/9.

At the bottom of the list is 'WWE/IMG'. This is obviously an error as it should read 'WME/IMG'. WME stands for 'William Morris Endeavour'. In 2013, it bought out International Management Group to become 'WWE-IMG' . It is a major talent agency that represents people from all forms of sports and entertainment.

WWE is definitely not involved with this potential purchase.

One thing worth noting about this market is one of the rules. It states that bets will become void if 'no new owner is confirmed by end of 2016'. This sort of thing could rumble on for months.

The UFC side is already denying that the company is being shopped around to possible suitors. However, Rovell noted on Twitter that he has had it confirmed by three independent sources that the UFC was sharing information about profit to these groups.

The market can be found under the 'Sports Novelties' section of PaddyPower.com.
