Thursday Punters Backing Ambrose To Win At Battleground & More

Customers of the 5Dimes Sportsbook appear to have backed Dean Ambrose to win the triple threat at Sunday's Battleground triple threat match.

The current WWE Champion was -145 at 9am BST this morning after Wednesday betting appeared to have gone the way of Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns.

Ambrose's price has now shortened to -180.

This fan interest in Ambrose retaining the title with a win has obviously forced the oddsmakers to improve the prices for Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns.

Rollins has moved out from +230 to +305 and Reigns' number is now +390, an increase from +380.

As noted in a number of posts over the past day or so, there are reports and suggestions that Rollins - or even Roman Reigns - could end up reclaiming the strap on Sunday night.

The main event odds aren't alone when it comes to readjustments.

The trio of John Cena, Enzo Amore and Big Cass have been backed from -365 into -420. Their rivals -- AJ Styles and The Club - are now +300 outsiders. The previous number I have is +255.

'The Wyatt Family' is another selection on the board that has seen action. The faction's odds have gone from -230 to -260 while The New Day has drifted out by ten points to +180.

Becky Lynch's role as a -185 favourite has now increased to -260. As a result, Natalya's price has been upped from +145 to +180.

Two other markets that have seen change are the ones for the secondary titles. Intercontinental Championship challenger - Darren Young - has been dropped from +165 to +100 while the US Championship's number one contender, Zack Ryder, has now fallen from +550 to +450. I don't have any evidence to point to, but I surmise the customers have placed doubles on the challengers in the hope that there is a PPV storyline on Sunday where the titles switch brands on the night. I wrote about this yesterday.

Even though the idea I suggested appears good on paper (or a computer screen!) - the likely outcomes are the titles remain in the possession of the holders. US Champion, Rusev, is now -750 to retain with a win (he was -1050) and The Miz is now -140. He had been -215.

The only other market on the board, Sami Zayn versus Kevin Owens, is a -120 pick 'em.

Odds correct as of 11pm BST this evening. The latest can be found on the betting board at 5Dimes.com.
