Betfair's 'Who Will Be Champion?' Odds For WrestleMania 33

Earlier today, the oddsmakers at Betfair.com released WrestleMania 33 specials. I have published a couple of posts already (this one and this one), but will look through another two markets.

The markets I am concentrating on in this post are ones where customers can bet on who they believe will leave WrestleMania as WWE World and WWE Universal Champions.

The 'Who Will Be World Champion At The End Of WrestleMania 33?' odds are:

As you can see, John Cena is the favourite to leave WrestleMania as WWE Champion. This is in line with other bookmakers with a similar market. However, Betfair has the best price as he's 6/4 here but EVENS elsewhere.

I singled out Randy Orton in a post published yesterday. He's 4/1 elsewhere, but Betfair once again has the best price as it has him at 9/2.

The list where clients can predict, or rather bet, on who will leave Mania as WWE Universal Champion is similar to the other bookmaker markets in that they have Finn Balor at the top of their boards.

I have published my thoughts about the Universal Championship WrestleMania match a few times already, but for those who haven't read it, I believe that Balor is the wrestler who should leave Mania as champion. The obvious doubt over my prediction is whether he'll return from injury in time. People who know better than I do have projected that he might not return in time for the Royal Rumble. This could hamper my hopes for him winning January's battle royal. However, with two brands, the company could easily have a Smackdown wrestler win the Rumble and then set up the Universal Championship challenger at a later point.

Odds correct as of 2:45pm BST. They can be viewed under 'Special Bets' on the sportsbook menu at Betfair.com. New customers can claim the latest welcome offer below:

  1. "any other wwe rostered star" for the wwe title sounds good at 5/2. Can't see them putting title on cena. Maybe AJ but I can see a face winning at wrestlemania if a heel is champion entering it

    1. With two major titles, the chance a heel wins one of the championship bouts is possible. With that said, I'm sticking with Balor and Orton for the time being.
