Comment Bag : 15 October 2016

This one is from Jordan:

I've spotted a few things.

1) Undertaker's Facebook page did a promo for the Royal Rumble tickets using a special promo code 'PHENOM' where you can get early seats.
2) Suddenly Undertaker has been spotted on crutches

Is it just me who feels this is a way to make people not think Undertaker is healthy and will then have a surprise entrant in the Royal Rumble?

Let me know your thoughts.

My response:

We've heard for years that 'Undertaker is banged up' and I think it's safe to presume the crutches are for real.

As for the Royal Rumble, it's in Taker's home State of Texas and with the Alamodome being a huge building - that didn't do too well selling tickets in 1997, might I add - I think it'll be a case of all hands on deck as it regards to promoting.

This isn't to state that I believe Undertaker will be a competitor in the Royal Rumble match. If the company decides to bring him back for the show, I think it'll be advertised ahead of time.

If I were forced to make a choice, I'd hazard a guess that he will be there in some form, but not so sure about him participating in the battle royal.  And this is from the same person who thought it was worth betting on him to win  the 2017 Royal Rumble after Vince McMahon vowed that Taker would never wrestle at a WrestleMania ever again if Shane defeated him at Mania 32.

For anyone out there thinking that Jordan is onto something, the best price - as of right now - for Undertaker to win the Rumble is the 20/1 that can be found on Paddy Power's WWE Betting Page.

The websites listed on this page are also offering 6/4 on Taker finishing in the top four. The market has dropped since I last checked in with the odds earlier this month as a top four finish had been priced 2/1 while the 'To Win' number has fallen from 14s to 10/1.
