The Hell In A Cell 2016 'Upsets'

WWE Hell in a Cell 2016 saw two closing outside selections win their respective matches.

Cesaro and Sheamus, who squared off against The New Day, won via disqualification after entering their match as +260 underdogs.

The second outsider was Charlotte, who regained the WWE Raw Women's Championship in the official main event of the evening. She came into the match with a price of +160.

This isn't the full story, though.

If you look back at a post I published ninety minutes after the markets were first opened, it was clear that the two selections had been backed within the first hour or so of betting.

Charlotte's price dropped from +550 to +150 while the team of Sheamus and Cesaro plummeted from +210 underdogs into -135 favourites.

So, even though the two selections closed as outsiders, we can surmise that - by the early wagers that came in - the plan was always going to be for them to walk out of the event with wins.

  1. So my picks was:

    Charlotte
    Cesaro and Sheamus
    Dana Brooke
    Jericho interference

Really happy that Charlotte odds wasnt like Miz at No Mercy (when he become heavy favorite and loze). That drop from -1000 was like at SummerSlam, so we dont need to be surprised

Also many people predicted New Day loze because of DQ

Sadly Dana loze. What they gonna do with her now?

Jericho interference was a lock, he is on fire.

Also i was surprised there was no tables in Rusev vs Reings.

    Good PPV

    1. Good job with your bets.

Hopefully, Dana will end up back alongside Charlotte.

I wasn't surprised about the lack of tables in the US Championship match because they did tables in the other HIAC matches. 2 is enough, let alone three.

    2. I didn't expect Dana to win because she has been booked as a joke - wwe needs to build her more serious and never do an arm wrestling match again Jesus...

  2. After seeing both titles retained in the first two HIAC matches i immediately punted on Charlotte winning as there was no way all 3 would retain like you said.

What happened with the william hill specials? Seemed very.. Well, lack of specials...

Thanks for your coverage again David!
