In what could end up being interesting for Royal Rumble punters, the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, Arizona announced via Twitter yesterday night that the Elimination Chamber is returning in 2017.
If this show ends up being announced soon and turns out to be sandwiched in between the Royal Rumble and WrestleMania, like it used to be, then there's a chance we might be able to get another hint to run with in regards to a potential Royal Rumble winner.
Or even a non-winner.
With Raw's Roadblock PPV taking place in late-December, this could turn out to be a Smackdown-branded PPV. Therefore, the Elimination Chamber main event could be where John Cena becomes number one contender to the WWE World Championship.
Granted, there are a few holes in this theory as I don't know when it will take place, whether it's a Smackdown event or even if it's a number one contender Chamber match.
If the company announces on Sunday that Smackdown's next PPV is this one, then I'm going to be even more focused on the Rumble winner being a Universal Championship challenger.
With news that Cena's return could be delayed further I wouldn't be surprised if this is how he does it
ReplyDeleteWhere did you see this?
DeleteDon't worry, I've just read it.
DeleteIts better than fast lane. And I hope cena wins whenever that times is given the issues he's had with wwe. I don't think Vince ever thought that it go this far.
ReplyDeleteThere are no issues between Cena and WWE.
DeleteCena's absence has been due to him filming American Grit.
The reports about Cena being upset about Goldberg's pay aren't coming from sites I would call reliable.
My bad.its because I read so many reports of different sorts of discontent, disappointment and all that kind of stuff. It's good to know the guys all good.
DeleteElimination Chamber is a RAW exclusive PPV. Somebody posted that his friend works in the media and got a tentative 2017 PPV schedule, in which the date of EC is February 12 2017 and is RAW exclusive.
ReplyDeleteThis was reported in today's Wrestling Observer.
DeleteI wrote about it in today's post.
