Reigns' GBOF Price Had Dipped From +550

In the most recent post, I mentioned that 5Dimes' WWE Great Balls of Fire betting markets were published shortly after 5am BST today and put up the latest prices. I've compared the earlier odds and there's only one market that differs between the initial and latest odds.

The ambulance match market had Roman Reigns out as a +550 underdog. His price has evidently dipped to +450.

As a result of the customers punting on Reigns, Braun Strowman has drifted out to -750 from -1,050.

I would presume that the fans backing Reigns are aware of the reports that the SummerSlam main event is scheduled to see Roman Reigns challenge Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship and are betting on Reigns being booked to win, so he enters SummerSlam season strong.

In a post published on Thursday afternoon, I wrote that Reigns losing on Sunday doesn't harm anything. In fact, it helps pave the way for a potential future plan.

Roman Reigns has already challenged the winner of Sunday's Universal Championship match to a meeting at SummerSlam, so an explanation for why he has a title shot after a loss in the ambulance match isn't needed. We will all know why he's getting it.

Plus, Strowman having another win dangling over Reigns will put the former in a good position as challenger if Reigns is holding the strap after August 20th.

5Dimes' WWE odds are found under 'Other Sports' on the 5Dimes Website.
