Betting On The Time Of The HIAC 2017 WWE Championship Match

As noted in other posts published today, the Kambi oddsmakers have installed a plethora of match and specials betting markets for this weekend's WWE Hell in a Cell 2017 PPV.

I have had a look through the time specials and thought I'd share with you a bet that I've placed.

The over/under for the WWE Championship match - where Jinder Mahal puts his title on the line against Shinsuke Nakamura - has been set at nineteen minutes. As of the time of writing, and as you can see in the image below, both 'Over' and 'Under' are 17/20 each.

I have backed the 'Under'.

The reason why I've decided to bet on this option is because I believe the bout will be the semi-main event of the evening and will not have as much time freed up for it as Shane McMahon versus Kevin Owens.

The aforementioned SummerSlam WWE Championship match ran close to eleven-and-a-half minutes. This weekend's line is asking for seven-and-a-half minutes more than that. I can't see how it'll reach nineteen.

My instinct thinks it'll be closer to the time of their first match.

With that said, I believe it's worth pointing out something that did make me second guess myself.

The last time a Jinder Mahal title defence took place in the semi-main event slot of a Smackdown PPV was Money in the Bank on June 18th. Back then, the champion's match with Randy Orton lasted near to twenty-one minutes and went over the 16:30 line that was set for that particular bout.

For grading purposes, the timer begins with the bell that is sounded to start the match. The timer ends with the next bell. In most cases, this is the bell that is rung to indicate the bout has ended.

The market is found alongside other WWE Hell in a Cell 2017 odds on the websites that publish Kambi's WWE prices. A couple of examples can be found below.
