Cena Mania Note That Could Affect Rumble Betting

In this week's issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter - which came out this morning - Dave Meltzer wrote a short bit about the plans for John Cena at WrestleMania.

The piece acknowledged that, even though there are rumours of Cena going up against AJ Styles in April, this isn't accurate. The current plan - as it pertains Cena - is for a bigger match than a WWE Championship contest.

The editor then brought up four names that he viewed as bigger than a WWE Championship match. They were: The Undertaker, Batista, Goldberg and Hulk Hogan (Meltzer did note that the Hogan option would be a surprise).

This news has Royal Rumble betting implications as, realistically, it should mean Cena isn't a favourite to win the battle royal.

Another news story that was brought to my attention earlier this week  (read comment section), and was covered in the issue, that could also have Rumble betting implications is the report that the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio has 'leaked' the main event for March's Fast Lane show. It listed a fatal five-way for the WWE Championship with the participants being AJ Styles, Randy Orton, Shinsuke Nakamura, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.

Cards are always subject to change, but if this turns out the way it appears, this could also cast a shadow of doubt over Orton, Nakamura, Owens or Zayn winning the Rumble.
