Rousey Bets Voided

In a post published yesterday, I mentioned that Ronda Rousey challenging Nia Jax for the WWE Raw Women's Championship could potentially impact a number of wrestling markets and pointed out that the odds for Rousey to win either the Raw or Smackdown Women's Championship 'Before or During Money in the Bank 2018' had dropped from 12/1 to 10/1 yesterday afternoon before the market closed at 7PM BST.

The 12/1 to 10/1 drop meant nothing in the end as bets placed following WWE's announcement of Jax versus Rousey were voided this morning.

Per the terms of the Road to WrestleMania market, 'Bets placed after any announcement on any WWE/official social media platform will be declared void'.

I don't know whether we'll see the market return or not now that Rousey is scheduled to wrestle Jax for the title. For recording purposes, I've put an asterisk next to yesterday's drop to 10/1 to note that yesterday's wagers were eventually cancelled.

In the post, I also mentioned that - if Rousey really does end up as champ on June 17th - that Natalya winning the Money in the Bank ladder match could be one way to set up a feud between her and Rousey. Another thing I brought up was, with Rousey as champion, Charlotte Flair could instantly become favourite to win next year's women's Royal Rumble match.

I'm intrigued to see how all this will play out.
