Sky Bet Publishes Two New 'Champion After' Markets

Sky Bet has published two betting markets where you can wager on who will succeed Dolph Ziggler and Shinsuke Nakamura for their respective titles.

Bobby Roode has been installed as a 7/4 favourite to be the Intercontinental Champion following Dolph Ziggler. This makes sense considering - on last night's edition of Raw - Roode and Ziggler wrestled in a non-title match. However, Roode did come up short.

Former titleholder - Seth Rollins - is 5/2 followed by Elias at 3s.

An interesting name comes is listed fourth on this list - Drew McIntyre. He has been paired with Ziggler since making his way to the main roster and assisted the champ in retaining against Seth Rollins this past Sunday. McIntyre also caused Rollins to fail to win a qualifier match on Raw last night, so it appears he and the former IC Champ are likely to enter a singles feud leading into SummerSlam.

Bray Wyatt, Finn Balor and Jinder Mahal are all 10/1. They're followed by Kevin Owens (12/1) and Baron Corbin (20/1).

I've placed two bets on this market. The two names I've gone for are Drew McIntyre and Finn Balor. The former is because he and Ziggler have been tight on TV. With Balor, I've chosen a babyface with decent odds. Bray Wyatt is tied up with the tag division to be given any consideration.

I've also placed a wager on the 'US Champion After Shinsuke Nakamura' market.

Daniel Bryan at 20/1 was too good an option to ignore considering he and Nakamura have a back story of being roommates early in their careers and both have shared a wish to wrestle each another in recent, and not so recent, interviews.

Randy Orton, who returned at Extreme Rules and beat on the former champ - Jeff Hardy - after losing to Nakamura, is a 1/2 favourite.

The aforementioned Hardy is 4/1 second-favourite and might appeal to anyone who believes that he'll win his rematch on Smackdown tonight. I for one doubt he will as I am expecting Orton to get involved once again.

Smackdown's latest newcomer, Andrade 'Cien' Almas has been installed in third place at 5/1. Next up are Big E (10/1), Rusev (10/1) and Shelton Benjamin (12/1).

Prices correct as of 11AM BST today.
