Sky Bet Installs Market For New WWE Championship Match Set For Fast Lane 2019

On last night's episode of WWE Smackdown, Vince McMahon removed Kofi Kingston from the WWE Championship match that's scheduled for next week's WWE Fast Lane PPV and added Kevin Owens.

With the new match set, the bookmakers from Sky Bet have replaced the Daniel Bryan .vs. Kofi Kingston market with one for the new match.

At 9:35AM GMT today, Daniel Bryan was a 1/5 favourite to successfully retain his title against Owens. A decision in favour of the challenger was set at 10/3.

A market - where clients could place wagers on the wrestler to 'Leave As Champion' - had Bryan at 1/7 and Owens 4/1.

The match winner market now has Owens down to 3/1 and Bryan up to 2/9. Then - in the second market - Bryan to leave with the strap is now 1/6 and Owens is 7/2.

I've taken the gamble on Owens to win the match. I don't think he'll win the strap, though.

The removal of Kofi Kingston from the match is a strong hint that he will likely be in the WWE Championship match at WrestleMania. With the benefit of hindsight, it should have been clear that was the direction when the 'Kofimania' hashtag started being used by WWE talent on Twitter.

As of right now, the firm is offering 7/2 for  'Daniel Bryan .vs. Kofi Kingston' to be a match at Mania. It's on the descent as it was 4/1 just before I began to write this post.

It was 5/1 at the start of the week.

With Kevin Owens now in the title mix, for the time being at least, another selection in Sky Bet's WrestleMania RequestABet has been added. It's 'Daniel Bryan .vs. Kofi Kingston .vs. Kevin Owens to take place as a scheduled match' at 6/1.

Another match that was added to the Fast Lane card will have Asuka defend the WWE Smackdown Women's Championship against Mandy Rose.

The champ is 1/7 and Rose is 4/1 in the match winner market. Asuka is 1/8 to leave with the strap and Rose is 9/2 be holding the title after the match.
