Hardys Relinquish Smackdown Tag Straps And A Look At Betting On 'Next Title To Change Hands'

It hasn't won yet, but 'Smackdown Tag Team Championship' looks likely to once again win Sky Bet's 'Next Title To Change Hands' betting market.

This is because - on last night's episode of WWE Smackdown - The Hardy Boys revealed that Jeff Hardy had suffered a leg injury that would require surgery. The pair then vacated their titles.

All bets on the market are settled once championships change hands, so there is still a chance another title could switch before new Smackdown tag champs are crowned.

For what it's worth, 'Smackdown Tag Team Championship' was still a 1/2 favourite when I checked in last night. This was a few hours before the title was vacated.

As you can see in the table below, it was moved into 1/2 from 13/2 sometime before Friday evening. Despite this, I noticed that the 'Raw Tag Team Championship' and 'Smackdown Women's Championship' showing shorter odds when I looked over the market yesterday evening. The Raw tag title option was snipped from 3/1 into 11/4 and the selection for Smackdown's women's title was moved to 10s from 14/1.

Next WWE Championship To Change Hands

This is a relatively new kind of market that was created following WrestleMania 35. Ironically, the first run was settled when The Hardys claimed the titles from The Usos on the post-Mania edition of Smackdown.
