18/10/19 Smackdown Ratings Are In

Last night's episode of WWE Smackdown had a total average audience of 2,441,500 viewers.

The result was released today by ShowBuzzDaily.com - the website that Kambi uses to grade its professional wrestling TV markets.

The bookmakers had a couple of Smackdown specific prop bets available leading into this week's TV shows. The first asked customers to bet whether or not Friday's initial airing on FOX attracted a total average audience of 2.65 Million viewers.

When it was first priced up, the 'No' was a 13/20 favourite over the 11/10 on offer for the show to get the 2,650,000 or above.

Going by the betting, the first sign of action appeared to have came in on the 'Yes' as it was down to EVS by Thursday morning.

As can be seen in the table above, by Thursday evening, the 'No' was backed from 7/10 into 13/20 and - as I mentioned in THIS POST - I believe it may have had to do with the news that a postponed baseball game from Wednesday resulted in a scheduled game for Thursday night having to move against Smackdown on FOX.

The baseball game moving to Friday will be my excuse for losing another prop that was available where clients could bet whether or not Smackdown had 250,000 more viewers than Monday night's edition of Raw.

As pointed out in THIS POST FROM TUESDAY, Raw had an average audience total of 2,278,666. Therefore, Smackdown's 2,441,500 was 162,834 above it. Therefore, the 'No' won.

Both 'Yes' and 'No' were 17/20 when the market was opened on Monday. The selections remained at these prices all the way up to later that evening when it closed ahead of Raw.

This is the final post for this week's TV ratings. You can view the results from other prop markets below:
