AEW And NXT Numbers For October 16th Are In

The audience results of last night's AEW Dynamite and NXT broadcasts have been published. This means that a few prop markets will soon be settled by the oddsmakers from Kambi.

NXT picked up an audience of 712,000 while AEW had 1,014,000.

As for the proposition markets - Kambi had a 'Yes' or 'No' to NXT having 765,000 or more. The winning selection - 'No' - was 9/10 from Monday all the way to yesterday's close.

The losing selection was a 4/5 favourite.

AEW's viewership was only down 4,000 from last week. Kambi had the prop set at 1,000,000 so customers had a choice whether the show would do worse or better than 1,000,000 or more.

The eventual winning selection was once again an underdog as the 'Yes' was EVS to the 7/10 for 'No'. By yesterday evening, the selection was snipped into 9/10 while the 'No' was moved up to 4/5.

Another proposition market asked customers whether they thought AEW Dynamite would have an audience of 250,000 or more over its competition - NXT.

The difference was 302,000. Therefore, the 'Yes' turned out to be the winner. It opened at 19/20 on Monday, but was taken up to 21/20 yesterday after the 'No' was backed from 3/4 into 4/6.

The bookies still have a market available for tomorrow night's WWE Smackdown on FOX. The proposition asks customers whether the audience will be 2.65 Million or more. As you can see, in the table below, the 'Yes' started off at 11/10 on Monday but declined to 21/20 by Wednesday and went down to EVS by 11:00AM BST today. However, the option has now found its way back at its opening 11/10.

I suspect today's backing/adjustment of 'No' (which was 13/20 and was up to 7/10 by this morning) could have something to do with Smackdown now having to deal with a New York Yankees versus Houston Astros baseball game that was postponed last night and - because it was moved to today - it has had a domino affect on the next game in the series, which will now be played on Friday.
