BetOnline's Odds For Punk .vs. Moxley

The oddsmakers from BetOnline are taking bets on the big match set for tonight's episode of  AEW Dynamite.

The contest will see AEW World Heavyweight Champion - CM Punk - return to the ring to take on the current interim titleholder - Jon Moxley.

BetOnline's market was installed yesterday. I came across the prices at 7:25PM BST. No changes have been made to either selection as of the time of writing.

As you can see, in the table above, the firm lists Punk as a -400 favourite to come out of tonight's bout as undisputed champion. A decision for Moxley will pay out at odds of +250.

A Look Through Kambi's AEW Interim World Title Markets Ahead Of June 8th's Dynamite

For the past couple of days, Kambi has been taking bets on the AEW Interim World Championship Eliminator Series matches that have been set up to crown an interim titleholder while CM Punk recuperates from a foot injury.

Tonight's episode of AEW Dynamite will kick off with a battle royal. Its winner will then meet Jon Moxley in the main event of the show to determine who will represent AEW in the title decider at the June 26th Forbidden Door PPV - a show jointly promoted by AEW and New Japan Pro Wrestling.

The market initially had 'Jon Moxley' as a 2/7 favourite when I first stumbled upon it on Monday night. By yesterday evening, despite still being favoured, Moxley had moved up to 11/25.

The option to bet on the 'Battle Royal Winner' going over in tonight's main event is currently at 8/5. This is in from 9/4.

As noted, the winner will represent AEW against talent from NJPW in the title decider at Forbidden Door.

On Sunday, at NJPW Dominion, Hiroshi Tanahashi and Hirooki Goto will face off to determine who will battle tonight's winner on June 26th.

Kambi's oddsmakers have priced up a market for that match as well.

Tanahashi, who was originally scheduled to wrestle CM Punk at Forbidden Door, has been backed from 2/13 into 1/14 while Goto has been pushed out from 7/2 to 11/2.

On Sunday afternoon, I published a post about the market Kambi has published which allows customers to gamble on who they think will be interim titleholder coming out of Forbidden Door.

The market has been adjusted across those days. The names of note are the two NJPW wrestlers with Tanahashi moving in from Sunday's 5/1 into 19/10 and Goto sliding in from 50/1 into 10/1.

As I wrote on Sunday, even though I think the chance of Goto winning on Sunday - let alone becoming AEW Interim World Champion later this month - is somewhat of a longshot, I thought that 50/1 was far too heavy a price not to place a small wager on the prospect.

One thing which makes me unsure about Tanahashi winning the title is because the G1 Climax is coming up and he may be one of the participants in that thus leaving AEW without a world champion - albeit an interim one - for over a month. Having Tanahashi as an interim champ negates the reason why this title has been introduced - to have someone carry the load while Punk is on the mend.

Kambi lists AEW as the favourite in its market which asks its customers which 'brand' will be in control of the AEW Interim World Championship at the conclusion of Forbidden Door.

'AEW' started out at 1/8, but has risen to 7/20 following 'NJPW' being backed from 4/1 into 19/10. 

For transparency, and to - in a way - contradict what I wrote about the G1 coming up, I had a small punt on the 4/1 because I liked the price.

There is a proposition market available which asks customers whether or not the winner beats CM Punk for the unified title whenever they get to meet up.

'No' was 1/2 on Monday night, but was moved into 11/25 sometime before 4:15PM BST yesterday. Its opposition - 'Yes' - was moved up from 7/5 to 8/5.

For the prop bets to stand, the Interim Champion and CM Punk would have to wrestle each other before the end of this year.

Here is a trio of wrestling betting notes.

BetOnline's Markets For Tonight's AEW Dynamite

The oddsmakers from BetOnline released markets for tonight's AEW Dynamite.

Opening yesterday, there are three markets available. One has already been adjusted since I first became aware of their existence.

The market for another Malakai Black versus Cody Rhodes III grudge match has seen Rhodes backed from +100 into -120 to get his first win over Black.

Black started out at -140, but has now moved up to -120 to make the market a pick 'em as of the time of writing.

The remaining markets are for two opening round matches in the AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament.

Bryan Danielson is a -950 fave to defeat Dustin Rhodes (+500) in their meeting while Lance Archer is -500 over Eddie Kingston's +325 for their match.

NXT Halloween Havoc Odds
While looking out for the current prices for AEW Dynamite, I noticed that BetOnline has also published markets for the matches that are scheduled for next week's NXT which has a Halloween Havoc theme.

Roman Reigns .vs. Brock Lesnar Gets 3 Stars

Dave Meltzer graded Thursday's WWE Universal Championship match - between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar - three stars in his review of WWE Crown Jewel.

This meant that Kambi has settled its Observer star ratings market with 'Three Stars Or More' winning on the Over/Under because the line was set at three stars.

As you can see, in the table above, the eventual winner appears to have been the option which the consensus backed. It started out at 7/5 when the market was first published in late-September. However, by the night of the event, it had descended into a 1/4 favourite.

Comparing And Contrasting AEW Grand Slam (2021) Match Markets

Later on tonight, AEW will host its Grand Slam show from Arthur Ashe Stadium from Flushing, New York. With it being such a big event - featuring the AEW wrestling debut of Bryan Danielson - bookmakers have priced up markets for the matches that have been announced.

Kambi's markets were released on Sunday. Not only are the bookmakers accepting bets on the matches that'll air tonight, they've also installed markets for the contests that will appear on AEW Rampage on Friday night. 

BetOnline's markets came out yesterday. Unlike Kambi. their oddsmakers have published markets for tonight's live matches.

To contrast the two firms. I'm only going to concentrate on tonight's matches. Here goes.

Brian Pillman Jr. .vs. MJF
The market for the Brian Pillman Jr. versus MJF match opened with the latter a -500 favourite over Pillman's +300 on BetOnline.

Both selections remain as they were. However, Kambi[s market has seen MJF backed into the equivalent of -1,000 after opening at 1/9.

Kambi has Pillman Jr. a 5/1 underdog. This is up from his initial 17/4.

Sting and Darby Allin .vs FTR
FTR's price to beat Sting and Darby Allin has lowered with both firms.

For Kambi, the market started with FTR 7/4 underdogs. Their odds have were shortened to 7/5 sometime before 9:45AM BST today.

Allin and Sting remain favourites although they are now up from 2/5 to 1/2.

Over at BetOnline, its bookmakers have placed FTR as the betting favourites. Opening at -250 their odds were down into -275 by 9:45AM BST today.

With FTR moved in, BetOnline put Sting and Darby Allin up from +170 to +185.

Malakai Black .vs. Cody
Kambi had Malakai Black a 4/6 favourite to beat Cody (27/25) when I first came across the market on Sunday. Within twenty-four hours, Black's odds had reduced to 11/25 while his opponent had moved up slightly to 8/5.

When I checked in this morning, I noticed Cody's price had moved into 7/5 while Black was up to 1/2. But, before starting this post, Black's odds had once again came in as he is now at 2/5 to Cody's 7/4.

BetOnline's market opened yesterday with both wrestlers at -120. The punters appear to have made Black the favourite by backing him into -140 and forcing the bookmakers to place Cody at +100.

Britt Baker .vs. Ruby Soho
BetOnline's market for the AEW Women's World Championship match kicked off with the titleholder a -500 favourite over Ruby Soho (+300). 

By this morning, Britt Baker was into -600 and Soho had drifted to +350.

Kambi's market has seen the champ fall from 4/6 into 1/8 over the initial two days.

A decision for Ruby Soho - which was first priced up at 27/25 - is now available at 4/1 with Kambi.

Kenny Omega .vs. Bryan Danielson
The markets for Kenny Omega .vs. Bryan Daniels contrast between both firms with Kambi offering Danielson as the favourite and BetOnline having placed Kenny Omega as the fave in the non-title contest.

Over at Kambi, Danielson was 11/25 on Sunday morning. By Monday, the bookmakers had lowered that price into 7/20 and pushed Omega out nto 19/10 from 8/5.

Sometime between 9:45AM and 3:45PM BST today, both of the selections returned to their initial prices.

BetOnline's market was adjusted overnight with Omega backed into -320 while the selection for a Danielson victory rose to +210 from its earlier +200.

Closing Odds For Tonight's Blood And Guts Match

Kambi's betting market for the Blood and Guts match, that is set for tonight's episode of AEW Dynamite, has now closed.

The bout will see The Inner Circle battle their adversaries, The Pinnacle. 

When I noted the market had been installed - in a post published on Sunday - I pointed out that The Pinnacle selection was an 8/13 favourite over the Chris Jericho led faction (23/20).

Shortly after the post went live, Kambi cut the favourites' odds into 1/2 with The Inner Circle increased to 7/5. 

The drop continued for The Pinnacle as, by Monday morning, the selection was 11/25 while the other option had increased to  8/5.

The last adjustment was made sometime on Monday. It saw the favourites lower once again. This time, customers were offered 7/20 with The Inner Circle out to 19/10.

The market remained open right through to this evening.

New WWE Backlash 2021 And AEW Dynamite Markets From Kambi

Kambi's oddsmakers have published markets for the next WWE pay-per-view event: WrestleMania Backlash.

As of this morning, the two matches already confirmed for the May 16th event have markets available for them.

WWE Smackdown Women's Champion - Bianca Belair - is a 1/9 fave to successfully retain her title against Bayley (17/4) while Bobby Lashley is 3/5 to keep the WWE Championship with a decision over Drew McIntyre (6/4) and Braun Strowman (11/2) in a triple threat match.

Customers who like betting on Kambi's Wrestling Observer star ratings over/under markets will find both matches covered.

A line of 3.5 Stars has been set for the ladies' match while the triple threat contest has a line of 3.75 Stars.

Kambi has also published a market for the big match that is set for this week's AEW Dynamite.

The bookmakers list The Pinnacle as 8/13 favourites to beat The Inner Circle in the Blood and Guts match on Wednesday night. 

A win for The Inner Circle will pay out at odds of 23/20.

Latest Odds For Tonight's AEW Dynamite Opener

The betting market for the big match that is scheduled for tonight's AEW Dynamite is still available from the bookmakers with Kambi's pro wrestling markets.

The bout will see Shaquille O'Neal team up with Jade Cargill in a mixed tag match against Cody Rhodes and Red Velvet.

The match winner market was first installed early last month, when the bout was initially announced. It started with Shaq and Cargill as 4/6 faves over the 27/25 for a Cody and Red Velvet victory.

As you'll see - in the table below - the favourites' price has been on the descent ever since.

The Shaq and Jade Cargill selection is currently at 1/5 while a decision in favour of their rivals will now pay out at 3s.

As noted in a post published last week, Kambi is no longer accepting Over/Under Wrestling Observer star rating bets. However, there are three other markets still available. One is a 'Gender of Decision' special in which customers can bet whether the males or females will be the legal participants in the match when the result is declared. 'Female' is currently a 1/4 favourite while 'Male' is 5/2.'

'Female' is also a favourite to be the 'gender to start the match'. It's 11/25 while 'Male' is 8/5.

The third special allows customers to bet on which team will make the first tag in the match. Shaquille O'Neal and Jade Cargill are 11/20 while those looking to gamble on Cody Rhodes and Red Velvet being the first to tag are 5/4.

Elimination Chamber 2021 Was UNDERwhelming In Star Rating Betting

From a Wrestling Observer star rating betting perspective, the 2021 edition of WWE Elimination Chamber was UNDERwhelming.

That's because, of all of the eligible matches in Kambi's Over/Under markets fell under their respective lines.

As you can see above, the opening match - which saw Daniel Bryan outlast the field to win the Elimination Chamber match to determine Roman Reigns' next Universal Championship challenger - received the most stars in Dave Meltzer's review of the event.

It received four-and-a-quarter stars in Dave Meltzer's review of the event. The result means that it fell a quarter of a star below Kambi's line.

The next best was the WWE Championship match, which was also contested inside the chamber structure. It received four stars and fell half a star under Kambi's line, which was also set at four-and-a-half.

In a separate market, both of the chamber contests were up against each other in a head-to-head special in which customers could gamble on which of the two bouts would receive the most stars in Meltzer's review of the Pay-Per-View.

The eventual winner started out at 11/10. It rose up slightly to 5/4 after a few days when the bookmakers snipped the odds for the 'WWE Championship' match (19/20 into 17/20) and the option to bet on both matches receiving an equal number of stars (19/10 into 37/20). 

However, by the morning of the show, '#1 Contender for Universal Title' was lowered into 17/20 while 'WWE Championship' was pushed up to 5/4 and 'Same Star Rating' was kept at 37/20.

The only other Over/Under market that will be settled is the one for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship match.

Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler's win over Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair was rated two-and-three-quarter stars in the review. This fell under the line of three stars.

Roman Reigns' title match against the Elimination Chamber winner had a line of three-and-a-half stars. However, his victory - over Daniel Bryan - did not score any rating due to the length of the match (Meltzer timed it at 1:33).

The only other match, which had a market headed into Sunday evening, was the one for the US Championship three-way between Bobby Lashley, Matt Riddle and Keith Lee. It had a line of three-and-a-half stars. However, with Lee ruled out on the night of the event, the market was cancelled and bets were refunded.

The replacement match - Lashley .vs. Riddle .vs. John Morrison - did not have a market available for it, but scored three-and-a-quarter stars in the review.

A couple of proposition markets will also be settled now that the results are official.

With one match solely getting the most stars in Meltzer's review, the 'Joint Winners' prop - which allowed customers to gamble on the prospect of two or more bouts receiving the highest number of stars - will be settled with 'No' the winning option. It started out a 4/9 favourite while 'Yes' was 6/4.

In the second prop, the customers gambled on whether there would be a separation of half-a-star between the highest rated match (or matches) and the second-best.

As we now know, the difference between the two contests was a quarter of a star. Therefore, 'No' will be the winning selection in this market.

Going by the odds moving, it appears as though the consensus was on the right side because the price for the eventual winner was lowered from 11/25 into 2/5 by the day of the show. While 'Yes' was increased from its opening 8/5 to 7/4.

The next time I write about Kambi's Observer over/unders might be next week following the Shaquille O'Neal and Jade Cargill versus Cody and Red Velvet mixed tag team match on AEW Dynamite.

As of the time of writing, the market has been closed. However, the line was set at two-and-three-quarter stars.

Before it was removed, the price for the 'Under - which started at 7/10 - had lowered into 4/6 while the '2.75 Stars or More' selection went out from EVS to 27/25.

Kambi Publishes Markets For Shaq's AEW Dynamite Match

Kambi has published a market for the big AEW Dynamite match that is scheduled to take place next month.

On March 3rd, NBA legend - Shaquille O'Neal - will team up with Jade Cargill to take on Cody and Red Velvet in a mixed tag.

As of today, Shaq and Cargill are 4/6 faves to have their arms raised in victory. A decision in favour of their opponents will pay out at odds of 27/25.

The betting agency has priced up not only match winner odds, but also other specials for the meeting.

Just like previous mixed tag matches, there's a special which allows customers to gamble on the 'Gender of Decision' which means who'll be the legal gender when the match result is determined.

If the ladies are involved when the decision is made, then 'Female' will win at a price of 1/2. Should Shaq or Cody be legal when the winner is determined, 'Male' will be settled at 7/5.

The ladies are 3/4 favourites in the market in which customers can gamble on the 'Gender To Start The Match'. Those who believe Shaq and Cody will kick things off can get 5/4 by backing 'Male'.

Shaq and Jade are 11/20 to be the first pair to make a tag while Cody and Red Velvet are 5/4.

A Wrestling Observer star ratings over/under market has also been created for the contest in case Dave Meltzer grades the match when he reviews the episode in the following issue of his newsletter.

The line has been set at two-and-three-quarter stars. Those looking for the rating to fall below that number can get 7/10 while the '2.75 Stars Or More' offer is EVS.

Moxley/Omega Betting Results From Last Week

Kenny Omega's AEW World Championship win over Jon Moxley, on the December 2nd episode of AEW Dynamite, was given four-and-a-half stars in Dave Meltzer's review of the match.

The release of the review - which appeared in last week's issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter - meant that Kambi was able to settle an Over/Under star rating market that was available to customers not long after the bout was first announced in mid-November.

As you'll see below, the line was set at four-and-three-quarters. Therefore, the winning selection was the 'Under' option.

It started out as a 13/25 favourite and was available at 4/6 in the hours before the market was closed for good.

As for the match winner market - it too opened on November 14th. At the time, the challenger was a slight underdog at 9/10 to Moxley's 4/5. However, by the day of the show, Omega's price had descended all the way down to 1/4.

Pro Wrestling TV Viewership Prop Bet Results From 28/9/20 - 2/10/20

Here are the pro wrestling TV prop bet results from this week.

28/9/20 - WWE Monday Night Raw

Monday's NFL Monday Night Football game was between the Super Bowl champions - the Kansas City Chiefs - facing what many would consider a potential Super Bowl winning team in the Baltimore Ravens, so - with it being a huge game to oppose WWE Monday Night Raw - Kambi changed up the propositions for the Raw markets.

For this week, the oddsmakers asked whether WWE's programme would have its record low of under 1,561,000 viewers.

The 'No' was a 7/10 favourite when I came across the market on Sunday evening. It was then down into 1/2 by lunchtime on Monday with the other selection having moved out from EVS to 7/5.

The numbers came in on Tuesday with the result that the episode did better than recent weeks. It had a total average of 1,822,333 viewers with 1,956,000 there for the first hour, a drop into 1,824,000 for the second and 1,687,000 for the last sixty minutes.

The number of 1,687,000 for the third hour meant that 'No' was the winning selection in a second prop for Monday which asked whether the record for the lowest third hour would be broken. The number to beat was 1,463,000.

As you can see above, the eventual winner was backed from 3/4 into 7/10 between Sunday and Monday afternoon.

By the way, the NFL game had 14,019,000 viewers.

30/9/20 - AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT

The Wednesday night battle between AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT once again went the way of the former as Dynamite had 866,000 to WWE NXT's 732,000.

For AEW Dynamite, Kambi asked its customers whether or not the show would get an audience of at least 785,000 viewers.

Both 'Yes' and 'No' started out at 17/20, but the eventual winner fell into 3/4 within the first few hours. The losing selection ended up at 19/20.

'Yes' was the winning selection in the WWE NXT market.

As you can see, in the table above, the oddsmakers set the line at 650,000 or more. The winning selection went in from 19/20 to 17/20.

The difference between both of Wednesday's shows was 134,000. This meant that 'No' was the winner in the market which asked customers to bet whether or not AEW would beat its competition by at least 150,000 viewers.

The winning selection was a 4/5 favourite when I came across the market on Tuesday night. It moved into 3/4 before 10AM BST the following morning.

2/10/20 - WWE Smackdown

Friday's Smackdown had a total average of 2,042,500 with 2,105,000 viewers tuned in for the first hour and 1,980,000 for the second.

The line for Kambi's Smackdown prop was set at 2,000,000 or more. Therefore, 'Yes' will win at odds of EVS. The opposite selection, 'No', was a 7/10 favourite.

Kambi republished a market for a battle royal that is scheduled for tonight's episode of AEW Dynamite earlier today.

I wrote about the market on Sunday after it was taken down before Double or Nothing. However, I've written down the current and previous odds in a table for anyone who would like to compare the odds.

The winner will meet Cody in a TNT Championship match on next week's episode.

Pro Wrestling TV Match Markets For Week Commencing May 25 2020

Kambi's oddsmakers have released match markets for bouts that have been advertised for professional wrestling TV shows that will air next week. 

In this post, I'll run through all the markets that are available as of the time of writing. I'll also mention a market for AEW Dynamite that was available yesterday, but is currently suspended.

25th May - WWE Monday Night Raw

There are two match markets available for tomorrow night's edition of WWE Raw.

The first is for the US Championship match that will see Andrade defend his strap against Apollo Crews. Both men have been placed at 17/20 apiece.

A triple threat match to determine a number one contender to Asuka's Raw Women's Championship is also being advertised. 

Nia Jax is a 1/3 favourite. She's followed by Charlotte Flair at 43/20. Natalya is 8s.

27th May - WWE NXT

Two match markets have been released for Wednesday's episode of WWE NXT.

There will be a triple threat match to determine the winner of Group A in the Cruiserweight Championship tournament with the winner going on to the final. The participants are Kushida, Drake Maverick and Jake Atlas.

Kushida is the 3/4 favourite, Maverick is 21/20 and Atlas is 15/2.

A cage fight between Matt Riddle and Timothy Thatcher, which will be refereed by Kurt Angle, is also booked for the show.

Kambi lists Riddle as a 2/5 favourite. A win for Thatcher will pay out at odds of 7/4.

29th May - WWE Smackdown

The semi-finals of the WWE Intercontinental Championship tournament have also had match winner markets created for them.

In the first market, the bookmakers list Jeff Hardy and Daniel Bryan at 17/20 pick 'ems.

The other bout will see 1/5 favourite - AJ Styles - take on 3/1 Elias.

As mentioned above, the bookmakers also had a market for a contest that is scheduled for Wednesday/s AEW Dynamite, but it is currently off the board due to AEW Double or Nothing being held last night.

It was for the battle royal that will determine a challenger for the TNT Championship, which was won by Cody last night. The victor will get his match on the June 3rd edition of Dynamite.

New WWE NXT and AEW betting markets have been published by the oddsmakers from Kambi. They start with the matches that have been announced for next week's episodes of WWE NXT and AEW Dynamite. As well as those markets, the bookies have also priced up for AEW's next Double or Nothing show which is scheduled for later this month.

Kambi's oddsmakers have released a plethora of professional wrestling markets for the upcoming slate of TV shows.

Starting with tomorrow night's episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, I'll go through the viewership proposition markets and share with you the odds for the matches that have been announced.

4/5/20 WWE Monday Night Raw

The TV viewership proposition market for tomorrow night's Raw is asking customers to gamble whether or not the episode pulls in a total average audience of 1,800,000 or more.

Those looking to gamble on the USA Network pulling in 1.8 Million or higher - by backing 'Yes' - can get EVS.

'No' is a 7/10 favourite.

'Yes' is  4/5 favourite and 'No' is 9/10.

Smackdown .vs. Raw

For this week's Smackdown versus Raw market, clients have been asked to gamble whether or not Friday's show will beat Monday's Raw by 100,000 or above.

3/4 is being offered for the 'Yes' while 'No' is 19/20.

USA Network .vs. The Field

The prop title 'USA Network .vs. The Field' asks whether Raw and NXT will have more combined viewers than the combined numbers for Smackdown on FOX and AEW Dynamite on TNT.

'No' is a 7/10 fave. A decision in favour of 'Yes' will pay out at EVS.

Blood And Guts Match Off

All Elite Wrestling has announced that the War Games styles match that was set for AEW Dynamite: Blood and Guts on Wednesday night is off.

I've written about a betting market for the match in posts on Thursday and Last Night.

AEW's reason for the postponement is due to 'time and circumstances' not being right for it, which is fair enough.

The market is still available as of the time of writing, but there's little point continuing to track it.

Elite Lowered In AEW Dynamite: Blood And Guts Match Market

It has been almost a day since I published a post noting that BetOnline has published a market for next week's episode of AEW Dynamite.

On the show, The Elite and The Inner Circle will wrestle in a steel cage match similar to War Games.

As of today, it appears the punters are siding with the babyfaces to win the match as their odds have lowered from -130 into -140.

A win for The Inner Circle will now pay out at odds of +100. They were a shorter -110 yesterday.

BetOnline has published a market for the War Games style match that is scheduled for next week's episode of AEW Dynamite, which is billed as Blood and Guts.

As of the time of writing, The Elite are -130 favourites. Their opponents, The Inner Circle, are -110.
