I first came across these specials on Boxing Day. In the specials, customers can gamble on the person they believe will be holding either of the major championships in WWE at the end of this year.
For the WWE Smackdown Women's Championship, the current titleholder - Sasha Banks is at +150 while the current favourite to win this year's Women's Royal Rumble (at firms over here in Europe) - Bianca Belair - is in second at odds of +250.
The most recent champ, Bayley, is next up at +300 and there is somewhat of a jump to Sasha Banks' most recent challenger - Carmella - at +800.
The rise continues right up to +3,300 with three offerings in Mickie James, Natalya and Tamina.
The market in which customers can have a punt on who will be holding the Raw Women's Championship lists Becky Lynch at the top with odds of +200.
As we know, Lynch is currently on maternity leave.
Charlotte Flair, who has recently returned to WWE, is next up at +300. She's followed by Alexa Bliss and Asuka who are both at +400. Other members of the current Raw roster are listed right up to the person with the longest odds - Stephanie McMahon, who is +5,000.
The oddsmakers have placed Roman Reigns as a -250 favourite to be in possession of the WWE Universal Championship on December 31st of this year. While his counterpart on Raw - Drew McIntyre - is at +200 to be doing what he's currently doing and holding the WWE Championship.
Both markets can be found below.
You see, with WWE the way it has been of late, with brand extensions at least once a year, there's a good chance that those titles could be on the opposing brands by December 31st.
Furthermore, some of the names in all four of the markets may have switched over within the next year, so it does make these markets tricky to have a punt. For example, if I could bet on these markets, I would have preferred it if Becky Lynch were a selection in the market for the Smackdown Women's Championship and then have someone like Bayley as the holder of Raw's title.
After all - a lot can happen in fifty-two weeks. After 2020, I think no one is going to argue that point!
Best wishes for 2021.
When available, the markets can be found on BetOnline's Website.
