Going Over Betfair's MITB 2015 Prop Bets

Earlier today, I published a post where I went through the Betfair Sportsbook's Money in the Bank 2015 betting markets and noted that I would do a follow-up specifically looking at the prop bets the traders had drawn up.

Betfair is taking action on four props. Two are specific to the Money in the Bank ladder match, one focuses on the ladder match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and the final one concerns the four title matches on the card.

The title-specific special is offering 5/2 odds on all four titles to be retained on the night.

I wasn't on board when the sportsbook offered a similar bet for the Elimination Chamber event two weeks ago. Back then, they were offering 2/1 on three of the titles being retained.

I was confident that Naomi would win the WWE Divas Championship so overlooked it. I lost out.

As for this week's prospect - I think Nikki Bella will retain, New Day should keep their straps. The Ryback one is interesting. He has only just won the Intercontinental Championship, so this one should really be the most obvious retention. However, on the go-home episode of Raw, he was booked strongly against Big Show and even did the Shell Shock on his upcoming opponent. In most cases, the person losing on the Sunday appears stronger six days beforehand. It'll be interesting to see what happens here.

And then there's the ladder match for the WWE Championship.

Will Seth Rollins retain? Will Ambrose win? Will there be a cash-in?

Decisions, decisions.

This leads me to the prop bet for the Championship. The special is offering 3/1 on cinder blocks being used in the match.

There was a cinder blocks prop for the Elimination Chamber WWE Title match and I wasn't sold on it happening then and not that confident this weekend either.

Despite not making any wagers on the first two props, I have taken particular interest in the offerings for the Money in the Bank ladder match.

The first bet specific to the match is an over/under on how many RKOs will be performed in the match. The line has been set at 3.5 and I have gone with the under.

It's a risky bet considering there are six people Randy Orton can execute the move on.

Bet number two is an over/under on the amount of times a superstar falls from a ladder.

Betfair did a similar one for the Intercontinental Championship match at WrestleMania 31. Back then the line was set at 16.5 and I counted beyond that number. This time, the line is set at 18.5. I have taken the over here simply because it worked the last time.

I'll be following these props all weekend and will do a follow-up once the PPV is over looking at which bets would have won and lost.

Betfair's prop/specials can be found alongside its WWE Money in the Bank 2015 match markets in the 'Special Bets' section of the Betfair Sportsbook menu.
