Kofi Kingston Now 2nd In MITB 2015 Betting

Kofi Kingston has now become second-favourite in Money in the Bank 2015 betting at Paddy Power and Sky Bet.

The wrestler, who opened at 33/1 with both sportsbooks when the respective MITB markets were opened, is now available at 5/1 with Paddy Power and 9/2 at Sky Bet.

He had opened as a 10/1 underdog when WilliamHill.com opened its book on the match earlier today. However, the market has been taken down overnight.

This leaves the Betfair Sportsbook as the destination for customers looking to make a punt on the outside chance that Kingston will leave Columbus in possession of the MITB briefcase.

The firm has him down at 10/1 as the image below highlights:

The flurry of bets for a Kingston win appear to be based on the fact that he'll be wrestling Brock Lesnar in three weeks time with a portion of wrestling fans predicting that the match will involve Kingston defending the Money in the Bank briefcase against 'The Beast' in Tokyo.

It's worth noting that Brock Lesnar is rumoured to be returning to WWE this coming Monday (my own speculation: unless he shows up at MITB). So they might start doing something with him and Kofi in preparation for the Japan show if that is the route they are going.

With that stated, Lesnar does have storyline unfinished business with Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins so it's difficult to handicap how, or if, Kofi Kingston will be involved in any build-up to the July 4th show or if it'll be a throwaway match with nothing on the line.

Betfair's WWE Markets can be found under 'USA/WWE MITB' in the 'Special Bets' section of Betfair.com.
