5Dimes Royal Rumble 2015 Odds (September Update)

It has been a number of months since a number of bookmakers put out betting odds for next year's WWE Royal Rumble. Over the next few days, I aim to go over the prices from all the bookies' markets but will start with the 5Dimes Sportsbook's coverage of the annual battle royal.

I first began tracking the odds for the match on June 29th and have been making monthly visits to the page to see any changes. Here's what I have observed since the most recent viewing (August 3rd).

The Drifters

There have been a number of wrestlers whose odds have drifted out. From the top of the list are:

  • Brock Lesnar +375 to +425
  • Kevin Owens +625 to +725
  • Ryback +700 to +1,300
  • Daniel Bryan +750 to +1,100
  • Cesaro +1,050 to +1,700
  • Bray Wyatt +1,200 to +1,500
  • Sheamus +1,400 to +1,700
  • Damien Sandow +2,500 to +2,700

What has surprised me is Brock Lesnar's odds haven't dropped in the month where it was announced that he would wrestle The Undertaker at Hell in a Cell. This in effect has indicated that he is moving in a new direction for WrestleMania 32 as the original plan was for he and The Undertaker to follow up their SummerSlam meeting on the WrestleMania stage.

New Additions

The sportsbook has added two new names to the list since August's visit. They are: Tyson Kidd and Bubba Ray Dudley. Both are highly unlikely to win the match for numerous reasons. Their odds are:

Tyson Kidd +3.900
Bubba Ray Dudley +12,500

The Price Drops

This is the important part as it is a good tell to gauge where wrestling fans are betting. There has been a decrease in price for three selections on the board. They are:
  • The Rock from +5,500 to +5.250
  • John Cena from +1,200 to +1,000
  • Dean Ambrose from +1,200 to +900
Dean Ambrose is evidently the man of the month. I think the longer Seth Rollins remains WWE World Heavyweight Champion, the more people will bet on Ambrose and Reigns as there appears to be a clamouring for a triple threat match between the three former Shield members at WrestleMania 32.

We're still months out. Still enough time for new names to be added and storylines to develop which will take some names out of contention.

If you're in a country where 5Dimes is available, you'll be able to find the Royal Rumble betting lines under 'Futures' on the betting board at 5Dimes.com.
