New Betfair HIAC Prop: John Cena's US Championship Challenger

The Betfair Sportsbook has added two new WWE Hell in a Cell 2015 prop markets to its Special Bets page.

The first sees the bookmaker offering up a list of names of potential opponents who could wind up being John Cena's opponent on Sunday night.

Here's how the odds looked as of 11:30pm BST this evening:

Dean Ambrose is evidently the favourite. I can understand why the traders have put him in this position as he now hasn't got a match to wrestle in following the news that Randy Orton has been injured. This led to the Ambrose & Orton versus Wyatt Family match being scratched from the Kick-Off Show.

As The Wyatts are also matchless, Braun Strowman might be a good shout at 11/10.

Second favourite, Dolph Ziggler, will be wrestling in the six-man bout that is replacing the aforementioned match. However, him being pegged as a second-favourite makes sense considering he and John Cena wrestled each other recently with Ziggler teasing a heel turn in some spots.

Tyler Breeze, who has joined the main WWE roster at 7/2, might appeal to some. I'm not sold, though. If he was going to be the mystery opponent, I think they would have saved him for then rather than have him show up on Smackdown..

Carlito at 16/1 is a shout out to the time when Carlito showed up on WWE TV and won the US Championship from Cena on his first night in.

The other prop is giving odds of 7/2 on 'All Titles To Be Retained on the Night'. The US Championship match has been excluded from this offer, so - if you take this bet - you're wagering on Charlotte, The New Day, Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens all leaving Los Angeles with their titles.

The market is available alongside other prop and match markets on Betfair's Special Bets Page.

  1. Mr Taylor, can you give me your analysis of the WTTC match please? I bought Dudleys @ 2,25 with Paddy Power, and am now contemplating turning this into a surebet by buying New Day @ 3,20 with 5Dimes.

I agree with your earlier assessment that it's time to pull the trigger on a Dudleys title win. However with New Day being laid out on both RAW and SD this week, surely the heels now have to squeak out a victory in typical Rollins style? Unless a double turn is in the works?

    1. Hi Thor,

My thoughts are the same as before even though the sign is to take New Day.

They have to pull the trigger on the Dudleys now. Whether the company does this is another thing.

They have talked about going for their tenth reign plus they're currently doing a Dudleys DVD so I think it would make sense for them to win the titles so it can appear as a chapter in the documentary (if the DVD contains a doc).

It's just an opinion. I don't want you to go by my word and lose anything based on an assumption so - if you want the surebet just to be safe - then maybe you should do that just so you're covered.
