Bwin Offering US Championship Betting

The Bwin Sportsbook's WWE Hell in a Cell 2015 betting markets have been republished over at bwin.com and the firm has installed odds for the US Championship match which will see John Cena defend his title against a mystery challenger.

As of this afternoon, the current titleholder is a 9/4 shot to retain while the 'Mystery Opponent' is favoured with a price of 3/10.

Followers of professional wrestling may be aware that John Cena is set to go on a hiatus following tomorrow's match. With this knowledge, the odds reflect that the US Championship will change hands during the event.

For what it's worth, Cena's return is scheduled for a December 26th show at Madison Square Garden. The bout is being advertised as a US Championship match against Sheamus.

I have mentioned on this blog in the past that I don't buy too much stock in the release of match listings such as this one as there are two departments at work when it comes to this sort of thing: the booking/writing team and the advertisers. It only takes a booking change for advertising to become obsolete.

For all we know, the John Cena versus Sheamus match will take be for a WWE belt on Boxing Day. Only, it'll be for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship if - and that's a big 'IF' - Sheamus cashes in on Kane tomorrow night.

The sportsbook has also published a prop market specific to this match where customers can place wagers on the wrestler who will take on Cena.

Names like Dean Ambrose and Tyler Breeze top the list with outsiders like Erick Rowan and Kane being offered at 50/1. The complete list is below:

These odds can be found alongside other Hell in a Cell match and prop markets under 'Entertainment' on the sportsbook menu at bwin.com.
