Is Daniel Bryan The Mystery?

Is Daniel Bryan cleared to wrestle at tonight's WWE Hell in a Cell pay-per-view? If we're to believe a tip leaked to Blog of Doom creator, Scott Keith, then this may be the case.

Keith, who has been writing about pro wrestling for years, published a post yesterday which copy-and-pastes a message he was sent from someone claiming to have been on a flight to Los Angeles. The messenger claimed to have met Bryan on said flight.

For what it's worth, the message reads:

I landed in LA about 2 hours ago. It was a fairly empty flight, but one Bryan Danielson happened to be sitting a few seats in front of me. Yada Yada Yada, I feigned ignorance as to whom he was, chatted him up. I lied and said I was a neurologist and he told me that he had actually just been cleared from a concussion and was going back to work tomorrow. He didn’t tell me what he did, so it’s not as if he confirmed it, but it doesn’t take rocket appliance to put two and two together. Do with this info as you wish, worst case Ontario you post this email, I’m wrong, and Bix talks about how dumb you are for the Nth time.

I don't know whether to take this as a good tip or with a punch of salt (Donnie Brasco, anyone?).

If this is the case, Bryan to make an in-house appearance is a decent price on the Betfair website. He's 16/1. This price had originally opened at odds of 33/1.

The above bet covers Bryan making an appearance. So, it pays out even if he is at Hell in a Cell but isn't involved in the US Championship bout.

  1. Betfair just took Bryan off the board. Saw his odds dip from 17 to 7 in 2 hours!

  2. BTW is Donnie Brasco a wrestling reference? You got me curious :)

    1. No, it's from a scene in the movie 'Donnie Brasco' where Lefty (Al Pacino) and Donnie (Johnny Depp) argue over whether the phrase is 'Punch of salt' or 'Pinch of salt'. Whenever I want to exaggerate caution, I always say 'punch'.

Go to YouTube and type 'Donnie Brasco Punch or Pinch'.
