WWE Hell In A Cell 2015 Betting Favourites

Here are the Hell in a Cell 2015 main card betting favourites. They're ranked in order of how they appear on the 5Dimes website.

Brock Lesnar -400
Roman Reigns -675
Charlotte -565
Seth Rollins -425
Dudley Boyz -170
Kevin Owens -675

Team Ziggler won as Kick-Off favourites with a line of -210.

Post-Show Update

All favourites covered apart for The Dudleys. There isn't enough evidence to point to smart money having been placed on this show.

Of all the things that happened on the show, the biggest reaction from yours truly was seeing Bill Simmons in the audience. I had given his name out as one to watch out for when Betfair published its appearance odds earlier this week. He was available at 20/1 for the entire time that the market was up.

One final thought - what was up with that Daniel Bryan rumour? So many news websites ran with it causing people to lay into the price. Somebody was having a laugh with that one.

  1. Those damn Dudleys and their titles. Like the lure of the siren's song... yet who among us can resist?

Lesson learned for me here is to go with my own instincts and not just back someone because every bookmaker has them as favorite. There was no indication from TV that Dudleys were going to win this time.

Interestingly there was about a 1 hour period just before the kick-off show where the odds shifted and New Day became the favorites. By the time most bookmakers closed shop Dudleys were again the favorites. Perhaps spotting the smart money is becoming increasingly difficult? Would love to see a graph of how the odds shifted on this match last hours before the PPV.

The Bryan rumor had to be taken with a punch of salt (haha), but when Betfair is dangling 31 odds in front of you then it deserves a small wager. Did anyone offer odds on Del Rio as the mystery opponent? With the rumors of WWE wanting to have a Latino star on their roster, the aristocrat should have been in the discussion.

I went back and looked at your Bill Simmons tip. Fantastic insight, Mr Taylor! You also had a wager on Jericho as the mystery opponent for NoC before it became public knowledge I believe :)

Overall a solid return on my investments for this PPV. Most of my profits came on the generous odds they keep offering on Sheamus not cashing in. I'm of the belief that the next in line for the WHC is a face Reigns. This means that until Reigns is in a match competing for this title, any bets on Sheamus not cashing in is a lock... hopefully :p

    1. I'm still not convinced there was insider betting last night. What would have made it difficult to read is that the bookies had the favourites/dogs correct from the start. Even New Day were favourites when 5Dimes first published.

I noticed the two teams at -120 and found The New Day being offered at a reasonable price with Ladbrokes. Hopefully some people read the below post:

      'Best Odds For New Day'

Alberto Del Rio wasn't available anywhere, but I did see his name pop up on a message board this weekend.

  2. Did Betfair pay out on the Bill Simmons appearance in the end? Not sure how they class "ringside"?

    1. Yes, they did.

The bets are settled as 'In-House' so as long as they're on camera and ringside etc it counts. It's just the backstage skits that don't pay out.

  3. Went with my gut instinct on the New Day to win based on the TV booking. I picked up a good win last night :) i was fearing a dq loss for K.O at one point... because there's usually one dq ending! I was relieved after he hit that pop up powerbomb haha

I feel the dudleys will win the tag titles in a tables match at tlc after both teams are involved in a tradiontal survivor series team match.

Great call on the in house appearence mate!

Congratulations to all who won last night :)
