Paddy Power Publishes WWE Survivor Series Tournament Odds

Following on from the news that the vacant WWE World Heavyweight Championship will be up for grabs in a tournament at this year's Survivor Series, the Paddy Power Sportsbook has published a market where customers can wager on whom they believe will leave Atlanta as champ.

Roman Reigns tops the list as a 4/9 favourite.

Here are some thoughts.

In my opinion, Roman Reigns as favourite makes sense. He was scheduled to challenge for the title anyway. I think now is the time to put the belt on him and the best way to do this now that he's winning a vacant title is to have him win a series of matches in a row to claim the prize.

Where's Dean Ambrose?

Brock Lesnar was not scheduled to wrestle on the show. However - with John Cena on hiatus, Randy Orton and Seth Rollins on the injury list, the company might be forced to work out some extra dates for his services.

As noted, John Cena has taken leave. I wouldn't rule him out.

There's no point going for Randy Orton even with the 10/1 price.

Bray Wyatt (12/1), Kane (10/1) and The Undertaker (18/1) might attract some, pardon the pun, takers. The three are already tied up for the event, so I can't see them walking out of Atlanta as champion.

There's little point having Sheamus win the tournament. He'll wind up in the title picture soon enough.

I expect more names will be added along the way.

The market can be found on Paddy Power's WWE Betting Page.
