Betfair Halves Triple H's Royal Rumble Winner Odds

The Betfair Sportsbook has halved Triple H's odds to win the 2016 Royal Rumble from 50/1 to 25/1 over the past couple of days.

This reaction is possibly due to the rumour that Triple H .vs. Roman Reigns is being floated about as a possible headline match for next year's WrestleMania.

Former WWE writer, Court Bauer, brought this up on the most recent edition of his MLW Radio podcast where he co-hosts alongside Konnan.

In the discussion about potential WrestleMania matches, he noted that The Undertaker .vs. John Cena, Kevin Owens .vs. Brock Lesnar and the aforementioned Triple H against Roman Reigns bouts are being discussed at a preliminary stage as of right now.

The Reigns versus Triple H match-up does play into a storyline that had been building for the past few weeks with Reigns refusing to join The Authority.

It also makes sense off-camera.

Triple H has been left without a dance partner for the April show following the unavailability of Dwayne Johnson and back-up plan - Seth Rollins - falling foul of a knee injury.

One way of getting to this match is to have Roman Reigns unseat Sheamus for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and then have Hunter enter the Royal Rumble.

Or it could be a re-run of WrestleMania XXX with Roman Reigns playing the role of Daniel Bryan having to overcome Triple H in order to win his place in the main event.

If you think Triple H is the person who'll be booked to win next year's Royal Rumble, the 25/1 from Betfair is the best price available.

But that's not all.

The 'To Compete for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 32' market from PaddyPower.com is showing Triple H at odds of 13/1. This might appeal to those who believe that he'll get to challenge Reigns for the title without having to go through the Royal Rumble first.
