WWE Draft 2016 Betting : 1st Of Listed Participants To Be Drafted

The traders at 888Sport.com, 32Red.com and Unibet.com have been busy compiling odds for this year's WWE Draft. I have spent this late evening browsing through the markets and have finally reached the final market that is available to customers.

In this post, I'll take a look at the '1st of the Listed Participants to be Drafted' market. This kind of bet is where the oddsmakers match two or more names together and the customer has to choose which one of them will end up being drafted first.

For example, just for fun, I'll match up Kevin Nash and Scott Hall. The traders may have Kevin Nash showing at 1/2 and then Scott Hall at 7/5. If Hall is selected seventh and Nash goes tenth, the bookies will pay out the 7/5 on Hall.

We don't have Hall and Nash in this year's Draft. We have the following combinations:

Roman Reigns (1/10) or Dean Ambrose 19/4

You'd have to be a lunatic to pick Ambrose to be selected before Reigns.

Roman Reigns (1/2) or Seth Rollins (7/5)

It's Reigns again. I think the 1/2 is a decent price considering.

Seth Rollins (1/7) or Dean Ambrose (15/4)

I like Rollins, but don't like the odds.

Dean Ambrose (5/1) or Roman Reigns (1/2) or Seth Rollins (7/5)

The Shield Special. I like Roman Reigns' number. However, if I'm taking 1/2 against Rollins, I should have a little more if I'm going up against both Rollins AND Ambrose.

Roman Reigns (18/25) or John Cena (EVS)

This is the money market. Reigns should be first, but WWE does like a surprise.

John Cena (17/20) or Seth Rollins (17/20)

Cena.

John Cena (2/5) or Randy Orton (7/4)

Still Cena.

AJ Styles (13/20) or Finn Balor (11/10)

If they're looking to have Styles as one of the top heels on either of the brands, then he has to be picked early. If Balor isn't brought up and drafted, then this market is a dud.

AJ Styles (18/25) or Kevin Owens (EVS)

I think Styles should go ahead of Owens if they want him to be in the top tier of whichever brand he ends up on.

Brock Lesnar (6/5) or Seth Rollins (3/5)

Another market that will be useless if they decide not to bring Brock Lesnar in. I may be contradicting some of the things I've written this evening, but I'm somewhat intrigued with taking Lesnar here due to the price on offer.

Brock Lesnar (13/10) or Roman Reigns (11/20)

Still can't see beyond Reigns.

Brock Lesnar (6/5) or John Cena (3/5)

Even though I went with Lesnar over Rollins in a split-second thought above, I'm not backing down from the notion that Cena will be first or second alongside Roman Reigns. I have to pick Cena here.

Kevin Owens (2/5) or Sami Zayn (7/4)

Owens!

Kevin Owens (13/20) or Bray Wyatt (11/10)

Here's how I would tackle this one. If Owens is Mr. Money in the Bank at the time, then I'd go with Bray Wyatt ahead of him. If Wyatt ends up winning the Money in the Bank ladder match (this obviously depends on him being the seventh entrant, if there is one), then I'd take Owens.

Bray Wyatt (1/2) or Cesaro (7/5)

I'm leaning very heavily on Cesaro to go first here. In fact, I'm placing the bet as soon as I hit 'Publish'.

Shinsuke Nakamura (EVS) or Finn Balor (18/25)

I don't think this is worth considering. Nakamura will be in NXT feuding with with the winner of next week's cage match between Samoa Joe and Finn Balor.

Samoa Joe (17/20) or Finn Balor (17/20)

One of these guys will be ineligible as they'll be NXT Champion at the time of the Draft. Will end up being voided per the rules (see below).

Samoa Joe (11/10) or Shinsuke Nakamura (13/20)

Even though Nakamura should be on the main roster, he could be the number one contender to the NXT Champion when this draft takes place and I don't think he'll be a runner for this bet. Joe could still be the champ as well.

And that's all for that is on the list. More than enough for you to do your own handicapping.

For clarification purposes. here are the rules of these bets:

I'll have another look through the markets if they're still available in a few weeks. In the meantime, you can find them under 'WWE' at the following websites:

  1. I was taking a look at your site and compared with current odds at 888,one thing has surprised me a lot ,in the Cena vs Rollins comparision you got 2/5 cena and 17/20 on Rollins ,I can't know if that odds were right or you got some mistake, cause a 2 way bet with 2/5 and 17/20 doesn't seems fair to me...
Now and studying the current odds I see cena vs rollins is a pick'em at 17/20 both ,I can't help myself to back. Cena strongly at that odds.1) cena is suppossed to be main man at Smackdown ,so he would be first or second to current champ Reigns.
2)On the very same 888,they also include a 1st spot pick (without. Cena and Reigns) ,it is just they assumming cena and reigns will get the 2 first picks but they pay. Cena and Rollins even???

    1. Yep, you're right. I made a mistake. I have now corrected it.

    2. I'm afraid I don't understand what you mean about the 1st pick excluding Cena/Rollins market.

The market will pay out on the first person named other than Reigns/Cena. In the regular 1st pick market, neither Reigns (1/2) or Cena (6/4) are evens.

    3. Sorry, I do get what you mean after reading it a few times.

Yes, it should absolutely be Cena winning that. I wrote this above.

  2. I saw you got Cena over Rollins,on that post so you think Cena at 17/20 is a pretty good valué bet then right?

    1. It wasn't really the writing to be honest. I didn't see point (1) and thought the (2) was a new question!

That was all on me for not reading it properly.
