The match - which was set to be announced on this week's Smackdown - has not been confirmed on foreign versions of WWE's show. However, the Canadian programme, Aftermath, which airs after the Wednesday playing of Smackdown, broke the news.
Orton had been installed at odds of 14/1 to compete against 'The Beast' in a special betting market that was published on June 16th. This price ended up falling to 8/1 within the first day of the market opening.
As I noted in the opening paragraph and in previous posts, this is the match WWE would like to happen. If Lesnar does not come out of Saturday's fight at UFC 200 in good shape, he could very well end up being medically disqualified from wrestling in New York - where SummerSlam is being hosted. This could all end up being nothing, but it's something worth noting going in to Saturday's UFC show.
I went through the betting in Tuesday's Post. I've added the table below for those of you who may not have read it:

The market had been available from 888Sport.com and the bookmakers that appear on this list.
Is there any US firms offering bets on this?
ReplyDeleteNone of the sportsbooks that had this market are available to US bettors.
DeleteDarn!
DeleteIt's interesting that the European firms have much more WWE than the US sites, where WWE actually is.
