Brock Wins & His Draft Future

Brock Lesnar's win over Mark Hunt at UFC 200 should now make the July 19th WWE Draft even more intriguing.

I have stated in previous posts that I would not be surprised if Brock goes first overall. This came with the caveat that 'if he wins' against Hunt. He has now obviously done that, so I fully expect the bettors and oddsmakers to have now Lesnar in the front of the pack when it comes to any of the draft lists that have existed for the past few weeks.

The traders removed all Brock Lesnar options late yesterday, so it'll now be interesting to see whether they readjust his prices after last night's victory. Below are all the Brock Lesnar-specific odds from a few days ago just to see how they looked beforehand.

First Pick (Excluding Reigns and Cena)

'The Beast' had been available at 2/1 throughout all the time this market had been available.

First Overall Pick

This market did include Roman Reigns and John Cena. Lesnar opened as a 10/1 shot (2nd), was backed down to 6/1 (1st July) and ended up at 4/1 this past Thursday.

Brock Lesnar .vs. Seth Rollins

The special will pay out on bets where customers wager on which of the two is drafted first.  Brock opened at 6/5, went out to 7/5 but then came down to 11/10. In the same period, Rollins went from 3/5 to 1/2 to 13/20.

Brock Lesnar .vs. Roman Reigns

In the Lesnar/Reigns head-to-head, the former started at 13/10. He dropped to 17/20. Reigns started out at 11/20 before also moving out to 17/20.

Brock Lesnar .vs. John Cena

The Lesnar/Cena market saw 'The Beast' available at 6/5 for most of the time it had been available. The most recent adjustment had him drop to 11/10. Cena's price went from 3/5 to 13/20.

With a little over a week before the draft, I am guessing we'll see Lesnar's name return to the boards by next weekend. This is an assumption as these markets are usually taken down on a Monday before Raw and end up being reinstalled approximately three days later.
