WWE's Draft Rules Revealed

WWE has just published rules for this Tuesday's Draft. Here are some of the important things that were revealed.

- It looks very much like the WWE Champion is draft eligible. This could be Dean Ambrose or Seth Rollins. I personally would not rule out the title being held up at the close of Raw so there is no champion on draft day. This is obviously a stab in the dark suggestion, though.

- Raw will get the number one pick. Months ago, it was suggested that Raw would be the Roman Reigns show and Smackdown would have John Cena at the helm. As noted in numerous posts in recent weeks, I believe the storyline is heading toward Roman Reigns being selected ahead of Seth Rollins. The only thing working against this idea is the fact that Reigns will not be at the show, so he won't be there as the number one pick.

- Tag teams count as one pick unless a commissioner or general manager specifically wants one member of the team. I know the rule is there to stir things up a bit and to break off a team or two, but it's actually dumb when you think about it. If this was real life and a person had the choice of going for two items or one, why would they opt to take the single item? Yes, I'm over-thinking this.

- Six draft picks will be made off the NXT roster. There was an NXT curtain call the other night with Finn Balor, American Alpha, Shinsuke Nakamura and Bayley. This should lead to some speculation that they are five of the six along with Nia Jax who doesn't appear on upcoming NXT episodes. It's worth noting that Bayley and Nakamura will be in key matches on the NXT TakeOver show on SummerSlam weekend. With that said, Kevin Owens was on the main roster in 2015 and main evented the first NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn event. I'm confident that Balor is coming up. I'd also like to see American Alpha be brought up (they're still 16/1 to win the WWE Tag Team Championship match at WrestleMania with bwin.com if you're interested).

- Here's another one - 'since Smackdown Live is a two-hour show and Raw is three hours, for every two picks Smackdown Live receives, Raw will receive three picks'.

- The Wyatts are listed as single draft picks. If you have bet on them to be drafted to the same show in the market that's available from Unibet.com, I think this will be voided as Luke Harper does not appear on the list.

- The New Day are listed as one draft pick, If you've bet on them in the same market that I mentioned above, then your bet should be cancelled because of the term that reads that if 'the listed participant(s) are drafted in a single pick (where applicable), bets will be declared void'.

- The same goes for the 'Rusev and Lana' and 'The Miz and Maryse' selections as they are on the draft board as 'Rusev (w/Lana)' and 'The Miz (w/Maryse)' respectively.

- Charlotte and Dana Brooke are not together on the list, so - if you've bet on them to be on the same brand following the draft - this bet should still be in play. Whether it wins or not is another thing entirely!

- Brock Lesnar is on the list.

- No Undertaker.
