Before I explain what I have bet, it should be prefaced that the newsletter's editor did suggest that Reigns versus Rollins was the 'original plan', so this could very well have changed following the former's suspension.
If you've read most of my Battleground betting write-ups, you'll likely be aware that I have a feeling the main event will close controversially with two of the wrestlers in the match pinning the third man.
I'm backing Dean Ambrose to be that man.
Unibet.com and this list of other sportsbooks have a prop market available where customers can bet on the 'Participant to concede defeat'. The odds can be viewed in the image below:

With Dean Ambrose a 3/10 favourite to win the match, his price to be the person who takes the fall is obviously the selection that has been given the longest odds. He's 3/1 here.
If the plan is still Roman Reigns versus Seth Rollins - and it is for a title - then it makes sense for Ambrose to be the person to lose in this spot.
Like I noted above, the Reigns .vs. Rollins match was one of the earlier plans. This could very well have changed by now, so I recommend only betting on this is if you're looking to have a speculative punt with the knowledge that has been reported this weekend.
With Rollins at 3/1 and Roman Reigns at 11/2 to win the match, an argument could be made to back both options. However, I am reluctant to do so because of my opinion that there will be a tied finish that could result in void bets. If there are two winners, the 'To Concede Defeat' market should still pay out.
The market can be found under 'WWE' at Unibet.com and the websites on this list.
I published a follow-up to this post on July 20th.
At 4,0 that´s a pretty good value bet if you ask me,it makes sense Rollins vs Reigns for the title at SS as some wrestling insiders point out.Keep in mind the Brand split ...
ReplyDeleteCurious to me that lower odds for them to concede victory is Roman Reigns ,to me he is the less likeable customer ,he has lost momentum being defeated at MITB(wellness policy inlcuded) and uncle Vince will possibly want to push him again.
So a"sure"bet with Rollins or Ambrose is nice too.
If I coud only say one i would go with Ambrose too ,not usual "your" favorite is the better paid.
Definetly backin Ambrose here
