Comment Bag : 4 August 2016

Here's a comment that was left earlier today:

I did a 'Request a Bet' with PaddyPower.com and they offered the following:
'Shaq to compete in an official singles match at WrestleMania 33 - 3/2'.
I put quite a bit on this (had to ring up) - but I'd like your thoughts on it. Is there any chance that they could end up in a tag team match or something?

My response:

WWE has been wanting Big Show .vs. Shaquille O'Neal in a singles match for years. They've done the staredown on Raw years ago and the battle royal thing at WrestleMania 32. The next step is for a singles.
Extra people in the match cannot be ruled out. However, doing this will dilute what they want and that is the tall guy versus taller guy thing for the mainstream media coverage.
Even with this confidence, I don't feel compelled to take the 3/2 from PaddyPower.com because Betfair.com is still offering even money on him being in ANY, albeit official, match at WrestleMania 33.

  1. I only did it because I was fed up of putting £8.75 every day on Betfair when PaddyPower was like "there's no real maximum stake" (well that's what it sounded like he was saying)

  2. What sort of athletic competition could these two possibly have where at the end of the bout we aren't scratching our heads wondering how they allowed that atrocity... it'll never happen!

    1. Why has WWE been running with the Shaq/Show stuff if it isn't leading anywhere?

    2. In my opinion big show vs mayweather was more crazy then big show vs Shaq. At least two 7ft people going at it will be fun to see even though it'll be a quick match with Shaq getting a cheeky victory. I can imagine a special guest referee - like The Rock - helping Shaq in some way
