5Dimes' WWE Backlash 2016 Betting Odds

The oddsmakers at 5Dimes.com have released betting odds for this Sunday's WWE Backlash event.

As of this early morning, there are five markets available for customers. Here are the odds so far.

The Miz is -600 to retain the WWE Intercontinental Championship with a win over Dolph Ziggler. A winning punt on the challenger will pay out at odds of +400.

Randy Orton is a -140 favourite to topple Bray Wyatt (+130).

The Smackdown Tag Tean Title Tournament offering is 'Heath Slater and Rhyno to win tournament' at -155 while 'Field wins tag team tournament' has been chalked up at +115.

WWE World Champion, Dean Ambrose, is -105 to keep his strap by going over AJ Styles. The number one contender is -135.

Following this week's Smackdown, I have a feeling the title is staying with Dean Ambrose for the time being.

Finally, the Six-Pack Challenge market has been written up with Becky Lynch at +150. She's folllowed by Natalya +240, Nikki Bella +350, Alexa Bliss +375 Carmella +925 and Naomi who is also at +925.

I purposely left this match last as I think the Nikki Bella odds are worth a look. They seem to be setting up for it to be her versus Carmella at the end because Carmella has been a thorn in Bella's side for weeks. The latter was also forced to submit in the trios match on Smackdown.

Another thing is Nikki Bella's new reality show, Total Bellas, is about to premiere. If they're doing any promo work to launch it, it'll look good to have her carrying around the title.

As per usual, I'll be following these odds right up to bell-time.

The markets can be found under 'Other Sports' on the betting board on the 5Dimes Website

  1. Usos seem like a no-brainer. The 3 other babyface teams from the semis to chase them.

I've gone with Ambrose for the time being, seeing how he started at a generous 2,2 odds. I do believe Styles will get there in the end, but this is the time of year when WWE like to stretch out their programs.

Any news on who and what is being advertised for the SD brand after this PPV I'd be most interested in.

    1. It depends on whether they want to conclude the Heath Slater story at this point.

I agree about Ambrose. Styles can afford to lose one here if him becoming champ is the end point.

  2. Odds are +120 for Dean right now, not worth it imo to risk anything.

For the women, Naomi and Bliss in my mind have 0 chance. Carmella has a shred of a chance to win, only to set up a program for Nikki to chase. Natayla is the dark horse here, as she's been around a long time and might be able to elevate the title. Sadly for her the fans don't want that, and she doesn't seemed to be liked or respected by WWE execs. The real decision to me is between Becky and Nikki. The fans really want it to be Becky, but the WWE really wants it to be Nikki, for reasons you stated. The odds for Nikki have now gone to +300, but I think it is still a good bet for what I have almost give 50/50 chances at.

Becky is now +115 but I see great value in putting money on both Becky and Nikki evenly. That's reduced odds for a Nikki win but an incredibly small chance of losing any money if she doesn't.

    1. Carmella has had the better of Nikki too many times. I think it's set up for both to be the final two.
