Nikki Bella's Odds To Become First Smackdown Women's Champion Falling

Nikki Bella's odds to become the first WWE Smackdown Women's Champion at this Sunday's Backlash 2016 pay-per-view have began to fall.

Earlier today, I published a post noting that 5Dimes.com had installed Bella at odds of +375 to claim the newly-created titled. She is now down to +115, making her a joint-favourite alongside Becky Lynch.

Lynch has also seen some action since earlier this morning as her price has dipped from +150.

The other selections in this market have moved moved. Natalya is now +300 from +240, Alexa Bliss has jumped out from +375 to +500 while Carmella and Naomi, who both opened +925 each, are now up to +1000.

The Six-Pack Challenge market isn't the only one to move within the five hours.

Heath Slater and Rhyno have been backed from -155 to -215 to win the WWE Smackdown Tag Team Tournament. The Field has moved out from +115 to +165.

Randy Orton's number has shortened from -170 to -175 while his nemesis, Bray Wyatt, went up to +135 from +130.

Dolph Ziggler's odds to get a win over The Miz have dropped from +400 to +350. The Intercontinental Champion is -530 from -600.

The main event has gone the way of AJ Styles so far. He's now a -155 favourite from -135 while Dean Ambrose has entered plus money outsider status at +115 from -115.

My instinct is telling me the right side to take in the main event is the underdog. If it's the first match of a PPV program, and the plan is for Styles to claim the title, then the favourite can afford to lose the first meeting. Smackdown closing with Styles having weakened Ambrose with a low blow as the show went off the air was also another sign to me that this could end with Ambrose retaining with a win.

Odds correct as of 9:30am BST. The pro wrestling odds are found under 'Other Sports' on the 5Dimes Website.
