William Hill Pays Out On No Mercy Spirit Squad Appearances

William Hill has settled all bets on Spirit Squad members - Mikey and Kenny - making an in-ring appearance at No Mercy last night.

The official ruling, that was graded on the night of the show, was that the two wrestlers did not enter the ring during the WWE Intercontinental Championship match between The Miz and Dolph Ziggler.

The duo made their way to the ringside near the close of the bout. They both appeared on the ring apron, but neither fully entered the main part of the ring.

The rules of the bet stated that the selection 'Must actually appear in the ring'. Following complaints from customers, the firm made the decision to settle the wagers as winners and sent across the following statement:

'The wrestlers in question never physically entered the ring, but they did stand on the ring apron which our rules were unclear in defining as being outside of the ring for betting purposes. It seems fair that we pay out this time and we will make the rules clearer for the next time. We apologise for the wait in getting this resolved for you all.'
