WrestleMania 33 Betting : Don't Give Up On Goldberg Making An Appearance Just Yet

With Bill Goldberg announcing on the most recent episode of WWE Raw that his upcoming bout against Brock Lesnar - that will take place at Survivor Series, but hasn't been made official on WWE TV yet - will be his last, I'm sure some punters that have bet on Goldberg making an appearance at WrestleMania 33 are now doubtful that their bet will win.

I wouldn't class the bet as a loser. Not yet, anyway.

Even though Brock Lesnar versus Bill Goldberg is going to take place in November and the latter has made it clear that his return is for one match only, I think there is a mild chance that this ends in a Hall of Fame induction next year.

I have not read any reports that Goldberg's return to WWE will conclude with a Hall of Fame ring, but I would not be surprised if he does end up part of the WrestleMania festivities next year. If he is, then all bets on him making an appearance at Mania would pay out as winners. The company dedicates a portion of the broadcast to honouring the stars that were added into its Hall of Fame the night before, so all he has to do is that spot and the wagers will be settled in favour of the punter.

With all that said, I would not recommend placing a bet on Goldberg making a Mania appearance now.

Even though I believe the punters shouldn't give up hope on their bets being cashed, they placed their wagers under the assumption that Golderg versus Lesnar would end up being a match on the April card.  A bet on Goldberg now means you're only putting your money on the chance of him making a brief appearance to wave to the crowd and there's no guarantee that Goldberg will be in the Class of 2017.

At 1/2 with these bookmakers, it does not seem worth it now that the rematch from WrestleMania XX will soon be confirmed as the main event of this year's Survivor Series.
