2 WrestleMania 33 Specials From Paddy Power

The Paddy Power Sportsbook has released two markets where its clients can bet on the wrestlers who leave WrestleMania 33 holding the premier titles in the company.

The Universal Championship market has Brock Lesnar as a 8/13 favourite to leave the event with the title.

If Bill Goldberg defeats Kevin Owens at Fast Lane, then there's a very good chance of Lesnar becoming Universal Champion because Lesnar is due a win from his previous losses to Goldberg.

On the most recent episode of Raw, Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman challenged Bill Goldberg to a match at Mania so - despite some nonsense last week where certain people were reporting that Goldberg would win the Royal Rumble and Braun Strowman was facing Brock Lesnar instead - the pair will definitely meet in Orlando.

It's worth reminding that, in last week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer wrote that - as of the time of his writing - the plan was for neither AJ Styles nor Kevin Owens to be champions of their respective brands by April 2nd.

One piece has already fallen into place afer AJ Styles dropped the WWE Championship to John Cena at the Royal Rumble.

On the subject of John Cena - he's a 21/10 third-favourite to be holding his title by the end of Mania. Many people are expecting him to lose the World Championship inside the Elimination Chamber a week on Sunday and the obvious person to win the match on February 12th is Bray Wyatt.

The firm has Wyatt as a second-favourite to be holding the strap at the end of WrestleMania. This year's Royal Rumble winner - Randy Orton - is 8/11.

Betfair.com had similar markets available recently and the betting went in favour of Orton, Wyatt, Lesnar and 'Any Other' (Goldberg wasn't a choice). This could have given away the WrestleMania title matches, but did not indicate who would actually leave as champions.

If the two championship matches are Brock Lesnar versus Bill Goldberg and Bray Wyatt versus Randy Orton, then I am certain that there will be a title change in the former. The latter has me in two minds as I could see Wyatt retain although it would mean two heels winning in both title matches and that was uncommon for previous WrestleManias with two major titles on the line.

Odds correct as of 3:15pm GMT. If they are available, you can view them on Paddy Power's WWE Betting Page.

  2. Why does brock vs goldberg need a title? This mania is going to suck right now. The titles should be on the future, not the past.
