The Movers In Paddy Power's Andre Battle Royal Market

It has been almost a month since Paddy Power opened a market where customers could wager on the outright winner of this year's Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Now that the match is confirmed for WrestleMania 33, I thought I'd go through all the odds once again to see how they differ from day one.

Odds correct as of March 13th (PaddyPower.com)

The current odds can be viewed in the image above. You can click on it to get a better view.

The selections that have moved are as follows:

Hulk Hogan
The Hulkster opened at 50/1. He moved into 33s by February 19th. I was one of the punters who took him at 50/1 because of all the reports that he could be one of the surprises at the show. Now that The New Day are the hosts of Mania, I believe Hogan's return - if it happens on April 2nd - will be in a segment with the trio rather than being part of the battle royal.

John Cena
John Cena's odds have moved out from 20/1 to 25/1. Not that he was ever going to be in this match, but I guess the odds moved out because his Mania destination is the mixed tag match where he and Nikki Bella will take on Maryse and The Miz.

Roman Reigns
Roman Reigns is now 20/1, but had started off at 18s. Just like with Cena, the move coincides with Reigns' WrestleMania participation being outside of the battle royal. His match against The Undertaker is soon to be confirmed.

Rusev
The Bulgarian Brute started at 10/1, but is now 16/1. There have been reports that he is out of action after having to go under the knife.

Bobby Roode
The NXT Champion has drifted out from 12/1 to 16/1 in the weeks the market has been active. He's scheduled to wrestle Shinsuke Nakamura the night before Mania. I expect him to retain and stick with NXT for the time being.

Baron Corbin
The Lone Wolf is last year's battle royal winner. He opened at 8/1, but has moved out to 14/1. Everything is pointing to him challenging Dean Ambrose for the Intercontinental Championship so it's highly unlikely that we'll see Corbin in the battle royal in 2017.

Kane
Kane's price has increased from 12/1 to 14/1.

Big Show
The Big Show opened at 20/1 and is now down to 12/1. If the Shaquille O'Neal match is off - and it's looking that way - then it's possible the customer, or customers, had a punt on Big Show being given the win in the battle royal as a make good for all the effort he put into getting ready for the Shaq match. Had he not been a previous winner, I would have had a wager as well.

Sami Zayn
Sami Zayn's price has drifted out from 6/1 into 17/2.

Finn Balor
Balor, who returned to the ring last week, is now down from 16/1 into 17/2. I have had a bet on Balor because I thought one way to reintroduce the former Universal Champion is to have him return and win the battle royal.

Seth Rollins
With Seth Rollins tentatively set to tangle with Triple H, his price has been increased from 6/1 into 17/2.

Luke Harper
Luke Harper has been backed from 20/1 into 17/2. This is possibly a result of him being in the main event mix of Smackdown recently.

Big Cass
Big Cass has moved out from 7/2 to 9/2. It's looking like he's going to be in the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship match at WrestleMania (last I read, it'll be a triple threat) so he his participation in this match is doubtful.

Braun Strowman
The powerhouse has been at the top of the market since it was first installed. He opened at EVENS, was then backed into 5/6 and is now available at a shorter 4/7. Many are expecting Strowman to be the guy who outlasts the field on April 2nd. If he's in it, after a loss to Roman Reigns at Fast Lane, I think they have no choice but to have him win the match unless WWE has a surprise up its sleeve.
