Sasha Banks' win over Nia Jax was a shock from a betting perspective as the former entered the match as a +800.
However, there are a few things worth noting.
When the market was first opened, Banks was a favourite. The early money came in on her as she went from -175 to -230 in the first few hours of the market being available.
The money then came in on Nia Jax.
Then, yesterday afternoon, Sasha's price dropped from +1,000 to +625 before drifting back out later that day.
Finally, Banks' price fell from +1,000 to +800 between 5pm and 7pm GMT this afternoon.
So, yes, she entered the match as a huge outsider, but there were times over the weekend where she was seeing action.
From this, and how Reigns odds have been, do you feel Reigns will go on to win? (email me if you don't want to publish this please)
ReplyDeleteFor what it's worth, Reigns' odds went from +1,250 to +620 around the same time Sasha's dropped yesterday.
DeleteAlso, Reigns moving from +800 to +600 today was around the same time Sasha went from +1,000 to +800.
DeleteKnew it... And I'm not even mad. Speculative punts came in. Thank you for the updates on reigns odds going weird, wouldn't of happened (my bets) without you David, thank you!
DeleteMakes you wonder... Where did those strowman and nia heavy bets come from...someone faking leaks? Possibly WWE trying to find out who's leaking?
DeleteIt's that mixture of smart and fan money and thanks.
DeleteDo you think there's a strong chance Reigns and Bayley win now they had similar action?
ReplyDeleteThere's a chance.
DeleteWell it has indeed. I cant recall the last time the favourites lost 3 times on ppv. Gives hope for the main, however slim.
Deletemeanwhile I backed Sasha at 1.50 when the market opened, typical
ReplyDeleteDo you think this and Reigns winning was just an instance of Vince wanting to screw with the betting markets, so they're not so sure of themselves in the future.
ReplyDeleteNot at all. The money came in on the winners this weekend.
DeleteCan't believe they've ended Charlottes streak like that. I'm confused who the Heel is supposed to be...
ReplyDeleteThe double came in! Im in shock! So glad i had a punt now :D Thank you David for all the information you provide here :) top guy!
ReplyDeleteThis is a schocker ,Jaxx and Strowman got typical smart money ,putting both at the likes of -2000 ,you just can't deny that.I am positive when I say there was inside info with em.Change of plans during weekend? WWE leaking wrong info?
ReplyDeleteWhen matches started Sasha and Reigns were at +800/+600 .
How insiders didn't back em with so high prices?
WWE decision of Charlotte losing his streak with WM and a PPV held in San Jose on the verge is just weird,I don't get it
I am confused about this Fastlane
The insiders did bet on the outsiders that ended up winning on Saturday and Sunday.
DeleteWas a case of the odds not moving as sharply.
If you know sthg is gonna happen and you gonna be paid for it the likes of 9 to 1 ,wouldn't you keep backing? It is some serious money we are talking about
ReplyDeleteBesides that tremendous decrease of Jaxx/Strowman ,got something pretty weird written all over it
I am 100% sure the insiders were betting. Look at the European odds on Friday night. Was a case of the odds not moving sharply overseas.
DeleteAND action coming in on both sides.
DeleteInsiders definitely bet. But because it was after the heavy moves it only moved it a bit. I don't know how they managed to convince people to bet so heavy on Nia and Strowman but i bet they are laughing.
