Extreme Rules 2017 WON Star Ratings Markets Results

When the oddsmakers from Kambi released their betting odds for WWE Extreme Rules 2017 last week, they put up two specials where customers could wager on the star ratings that Dave Meltzer would bestow on the matches in his review of the event in the following issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

The edition was published earlier this morning. The bout that was given the most stars was the main event, which was the fatal 5-way Extreme Rules match to determine a number one contender to Brock Lesnar's WWE Universal Championship.

The winning match opened as a 5/4 second-favourite to the Neville .vs. Austin Aries Cruiserweight Championship fixture (3/4), but customers evidently backed it immediately. It was moved to 3/4 favouritism within a short time and - by Sunday afternoon - had shortened to 2/5.

Sunday's main event was given four-and-a-half stars. Three of the other four options were all awarded three-and-a-quarter while the WWE Raw Women's Championship was graded a DUD.

Special number two was a market where clients could wager on a match receiving five or more stars in this week's issue. It was 15/1, but is obviously a loss considering that the winning match came half a star short.

Extreme Rules was the fourth event the traders have published Observer rating specials for. If markets are released for the upcoming Money in the Bank pay-per-view, they'll be found on the websites that offer Kambi betting odds. A few examples can be found below:
