Next To Defeat Nakamura Update For August 1st

With tonight's episode of WWE Smackdown featuring a bout where Shinsuke Nakamura could lose, I have checked in with Kambi's markets where customers can have a bet on the next person to defeat Nakamura to see if any punters have sided with tonight's opponent - John Cena.

Next To Defeat Shinsuke Nakamura Betting Odds As Of The Morning Of August 1st

The odds for John Cena to score a pinfall, submission or ref stoppage decision over Nakamura hasn't been cut. In fact, it has drifted out slightly from 1/4 to 2/5.

The person who has been backed is Baron Corbin. He has moved into even money from 6/4.

If I were to guess, I'd predict that the punters have sided with Corbin because - as of the time of writing - Shinsuke Nakamura is a favourite to become the number one contender to Jinder Mahal's WWE Championship in a market where 5Dimes customers can bet on tonight's match. This could have led to people guessing that Nakamura will unseat Mahal before eventually losing to Corbin after the Money in the Bank contract is executed.

This market is intriguing because anyone who would like to bet on John Cena getting the decision by pinfall, submission or ref stoppage on tonight's Smackdown could do so here. It's the closest non-5Dimes customers can get to having a wager on tonight's match. This is, of course, if they believe that Cena is going over.

Odds correct as of 11:45am BST. You can view the markets under 'Shinsuke Nakamura Conqueror' on the websites that publish betting odds from Kambi. A couple of examples can be found below:

  1. Cena and Corbin so close there is a very little difference

  2. Looks like Nakamura to win title at SummerSlam only for Corbin to cash in and give Nakamuras a loss.
