I believe one, if not two, of these wrestlers will become a champion by the time the fireworks go off to signal the end of WrestleMania. If I had to choose one, the obvious choice would be Roman Reigns who seems destined to face WWE Universal Champion - Brock Lesnar - in April.
A look at the 'Brock Lesnar Conqueror' market suggests that, at least one person, has backed Lesnar to continue his current run without suffering a pinfall, submission or ref stoppage loss beyond the April event.

Prices as of November 2nd, but still the same today |
Of all the selections that are available, the one for 'No Defeat Until After The End Of WrestleMania 34 Or Later' has been cut from 15/4 into 3/1 since it was last available in the latter part of October.
Roman Reigns is still a 1/7 favourite. I cannot look beyond this option, so this should explain my surprise to see the sportsbook had snipped the odds for no conqueror.
This market was published before the announcement that AJ Styles will face Jinder Mahal on next week's episode of WWE Smackdown.
If Styles were to win the WWE Championship on Tuesday night, he'll replace Jinder Mahal as Brock Lesnar's Survivor Series opponent. Therefore, I expect Styles' price of 15/1 to be snipped.
Not that I plan to bet on it. I fully expect 'The Beast' not to be 'conquered' at the Survivor Series and suffer his next proper loss at WrestleMania to Roman Reigns.
No earlier.
And certainly not later.
I was one of those guys who took Lesnar to go unbeaten till after mania at 5/1. I was hoping for him to drop the belt in that multi man at Summerslam without getting pinned which back fired. :-(
ReplyDeleteThinking back to that time, the only situation where I thought Lesnar would drop the title would have been if it was against Reigns in a singles match.
DeleteMaybe it's me being too blinkered into the mindset that he isn't dropping the strap 'til Mania.
