This week's issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter saw Meltzer give the bout three-and-three-quarter stars. Going in, customers of the sports betting websites that publish odds from Kambi were offered 7/4 that it would get the honours once Meltzer's report was published.
In betting, the eventual winner was a joint-second favourite alongside the Universal Championship bout - which saw Brock Lesnar score an upset win over Roman Reigns in a cage.
The 3/10 favourite, AJ Styles versus Shinsuke Nakamura - which was obviously harmed due to a double countout finish, received three-and-a-quarter stars.
Betting on the 'Highest Rated Match' of the night wasn't the only thing customers could wager on ahead of Friday's event. They could also place bets on the 'Exact Star Rating' of the highest rated match and also on a handful of Over/Unders on most of the matches on the card.
Customers could have found 'Exactly 3.75 Stars' as a 6/4 favourite.
Ironically, the 3.75 was favoured because the bookie anticipated AJ Styles versus Shinsuke Nakamura to repeat the rating they earned from their match at WrestleMania. You can make this conclusion based on the fact that the match was favourite in the 'Highest Rated Match' market and the line of 3.75 was set in the Over/Under.

The punters were evidently looking for the match to go over, but those who backed the 'Under' will have bets settled in their favour following the release of this week's Observer.
The consensus did appear to have sided with the eventual winner going over its line of 3.5 Stars.

It fell from EVS to 11/20 across the day the market was available.
The Universal Championship match only earned one star from Meltzer. Customers could have backed 'Under 3.25 Stars' at a starting 19/20 and then at 23/25.
Jeff Hardy's US Championship defence against Jinder Mahal was given half a star by the editor. The 'Under 2.5 Stars' backers were the sure winners here. This selection was 11/10.
7/4 was the 'price you could have backed The Undertaker versus Rusev being 'Exactly 2 Stars'.
The battle royal was given three-and-a-quarter stars. This went above the line of three stars. The customers appeared to have sided with the winning selection - Over 3 Stars - as it dropped from 4/5 to 7/10 in the hours the market was available.
The opener, which saw John Cena get the W over Triple H, had a line of three stars. The reviewer gave it two-and-three-quarters.

As you can see, the punters evidently liked this one to go 'Over 3 Stars' as it dipped from 6/5 to 11/10 between Thursday evening and Friday morning. I was one of those backers, so missed out by half a star.
Hopefully, I'll be able to try and do better this weekend with WWE Backlash 2018. If star ratings specials are published, I'll cover them here.
