A story coming out of this week's TV is the fact that Daniel Bryan's loss to Rusev was not eligible for Bryan's conqueror market. This is because - for settlement purposes - the match where the wrestler loses in must be advertised twenty-four ahead of the start of the event.
Bryan's Smackdown match with Rusev was plugged shortly before the second hour of Monday's Raw. By then, the start of Smackdown was less than twenty-four hours away, so any Rusev backers missed out on a win by potentially fifty-three minutes.
It's a bad beat.
You can see that Rusev's price had been dropping since the market was first installed.
He fell from 17/1 on April 8th and is now at 6s.
Most of Smackdown's heels have declined since I last checked in. As you can see, The Miz (2/1 to EVS), Samoa Joe (11/4 to 9/4) and Shinsuke Nakamura (11/4 to 9/4) have moved in.
Big Cass, who lost to Bryan at Backlash on Sunday night, has continued to drift. He's now at EVS from the 22/25 he was eleven days ago.
The market where customers can bet on the time-frame when Bryan suffers an eligible television loss has also changed since Sunday night.
A loss taking place 'Between the day after Money in the Bank, but before SummerSlam' is now down to 5/4 from 7/4 while the next option - 'During SummerSlam' - has fallen to 6/4 from 7/4.
Interestingly, the option to cover an eligible time up to, and including, Money in the Bank has increased from 4/5 to EVS. As has the option to bet on the next loss taking place from the day after SummerSlam but before November's Survivor Series. This has moved a tad from 15/2 to 8/1.
In the section below, I'll cover how the Braun Strowman and Ronda Rousey conqueror markets have changed since Sunday.
Braun Strowman
An undefeated run beyond WrestleMania 35 has been increased from 6/4 to 7/4.
There have been a lot of changes to the opponent market.
Strowman's tag team partner from Sunday - Bobby Lashley - has once again been cut. This time, he's at 5/4 - a difference to the 3/1 he was a fortnight ago.
Roman Reigns (7/4 from 2/1), Seth Rollins (4/1 from 13/2), John Cena (13/2 to 6/1), Dean Ambrose (12/1 to 10/1) and Finn Balor (15/1 to 10/1) are other selections that have declined.
I find it surprising that it's the babyfaces, and not the heels, that have been cut. Strowman is very much a babyface these days so - if he's going to lose a match - it would surely end up being a bad guy who does it, in my opinion.
There are new selections. Some, nearly all, are heels. Drew McIntyre has been installed at 8/1, Jason Jordan at 15/1, Jinder Mahal also at 15/1, Elias at 20s and Baron Corbin at 25/1.
Ronda Rousey
The odds for Ronda Rousey's defeat taking place 'Between the Day after Money in the Bank, but before SummerSlam' has been cut from 7/1 to 4/1 in the market where you can punt on the time-frame a potential loss occurs. I still believe the 'No Defeat Until After End Of WrestleMania 35' is best for business, but I also Asuka should have had a lengthy streak!
Natalya's odds to be the first person to get an eligible win over Rousey has been snipped from 9/4 into 2/1. Even though I highly doubt Natalya will score a victory over Rousey, I can understand why the price has dropped. It's obvious that Rousey and Natalya will end up feuding sooner rather than later.
Another person whose price has been cut is Smackdown's Becky Lynch. She is now down to 17/1 from 20/1.
These markets are found under 'Props/Futures' in the WWE/Pro Wrestling sections of the websites that publish Kambi's wrestling odds. A couple of examples can be found below.
