The boookmakers have covered all of the matches that are currently scheduled to take place on August 18th.
EC3 is a 7/10 favourite for his bout with Velveteen Dream (EVS).
NXT North American Champion - Adam Cole - is a slight underdog for his defence against Ricochet. He's 9/10 while the challenger is 4/5.
Kyle O'Reilly and Roderick Strong are 3/4 to successfully retain the NXT Tag Team Championship against Moustache Mountain (19/20).
The NXT Women's Championship will be a rematch of the first Mae Young Classic final. Back in September of last year, Kairi Sane beat Shayna Baszler by pinfall to win the tournament. Now - however - Baszler has become the champion and is a 3/5 favourite. The challenger is 6/5.
The main event will see Tomasso Ciampa defend his newly-won NXT Championship in a triple threat match against Johnny Gargano and formet titleholder, Aleister Black. Ciampa and Gargano have been installed at 5/4 apiece while Black is 5/2.
Bookies are being generous to us here David.
ReplyDeleteCiampa only just won the title and is red hot at the moment probably the biggest heel in the world today. Taking the title off him in his first defence would be flat out silly.
Undisputed Era only just won the titles back from Moustache Mountain so flip flopping the titles again makes no sense at all. Also it seems like WWE is building up to Era vs War Raiders.
Shayna Baszler will beat Kairi Sane imo. I like Kairi but she's just being fed to Shayna imo. Think Candice LeRae will be the one to beat Shayna Baszler and WWE are already in the process of building that match up.
My final bet is Ricochet. Not as confident on this one but Adam Cole has been the Champion for quite some time and has done nothing with it and I think WWE will do at least 1 title change at TakeOver and if WWE did then this is the title that will change hands imo.
As for EC3 vs Velveteen I would say EC3 but both superstars lose every big match they compete in so I shall leave this one alone from a betting perspective.
Anything you fancy on the TakeOver show David?
I haven't bet on any of the NXT markets.
