I was just browsing through some of the request a bet markets for Super Show-Down that are available on the Sky Bet website and came across a selection of names to appear in person at the venue.
The selections, along with their odds, are:
Kurt Angle EVS
Big Show 7/4
Hulk Hogan 4/1
Batista 5/1
CM Punk 16/1
I looked through the names and couldn't make a case for any of the high priced selections. CM Punk is a definite no, Batista is returning for the Smackdown 1,000 show so there's no reason to bring him out to Australia, Hulk Hogan would have been advertised ahead of time.
The thing is, if this were Crown Jewel, I may have contradicted myself by making a case for Hogan or Batista to show up at the venue.
When Kurt Angle returns, I assume it'll be on a Raw to set up the Survivor Series (it's rumoured to be Team Angle .vs. Team Corbin).
As for Big Show - when I came across his name, I thought to myself 'Hmm, might be worth a small gamble', but then remembered something. He's going to be attending a special function at MetLife Stadium ahead of the New York Jets .vs. Denver Broncos game tomorrow (kick off is at 1PM Eastern/6PM UK, so I guess it'll be before and during the game). It's not impossible, but I strongly doubt Show will be in Australia today if he's booked to be at the game in New Jersey tomorrow.
