I checked in with the sportsbook's markets this morning and noticed that Rollins is now a -150 favourite to win the men's battle royal. He was -110 when I noted all of the prices yesterday.
Strowman is the only other selection to move in alongside Rollins. As of today, the Monster Among Men is at +230 - a dip from +265.
In yesterday's update, I noted that The Rock's price to win had been cut from +3,000 back into its earlier +2,000. The selection is now up to +3,500. As mentioned in previous posts, I strongly doubt that Dwayne Johnson will work the Royal Rumble match because his filming schedule (Hobbs and Shaw - which last I heard was being filmed in London is still in production, plus Johnson has also begun to shoot the latest Jumanji movie this month). Not only that, the insurance issues in case he's injured doing a match - or matches - makes it incredibly hard for me to envision him working the Rumble.
Becky Lynch's price to win the women's battle royal is now at +115. She was at +120. Charlotte Flair is still a favourite, but has drifted out to -150 from -170.
There have been adjustments made in the other match markets as well.

Buddy Murphy's price to successfully retain the WWE Cruiserweight Championship on the event's pre-show has moved in from -150 to -195. However, this selection isn't the only one of the runners to have shorter odds than yesterday. Hideo Itami is now +425 - a dip from +450.
Rusev is now -400 to keep the US Championship with a W over Shinsuke Nakamura (+280). When I checked in previous to today, the champ was a -320 fave and the challenger was +240.
The punters appear to have sided with The Miz and Shane McMahon again.

As you can see, the challengers to The Bar's WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championship went from -245 into -280 earlier this week. Then, in yesterday's post, I noticed that the champions had dropped from +200 into +170. They are now back up to +200 with Miz and McMahon back into -280 from -230.
Asuka has returned to -245 in wagering on her WWE Smackdown Women's Title defence against Becky Lynch. As you can see, the early interest appears to have gone the way of the challenger, but overnight wagering has seemingly gone in favour of the Empress of Tomorrow.

When the WWE Championship match market was first installed, the price for Daniel Bryan to get the win fell from -265 on January 18th and was down to -290 a couple of days ago. The gamblers are now siding with the challenger as AJ Styles is +155. He was +210 yesterday.

As I pointed out in previous posts, it's Balor's price that had been on the decline.
Do you think AJ has a chance to win ? I first thought Randy might cost him but after watching Smackdown, i think Orton will be focusing on Royal Rumble match
ReplyDeleteI can't see AJ losing clean again.
What do you think ?
Same answer as the last few weeks you've asked - I really don't think Bryan should lose the match because the character needs the strap in my opinion.
DeleteI obviously could be wrong.
Taking any bets for the Elimination Chamber? I would imagine Rey Mysterio wins that. I wonder if they would touch on Rey Mysterio beeing booed at No 30 at the Royal Rumble 2014 if he faces Daniel Bryan.
ReplyDeleteAlso Kofi could win the Elimination Chamber. The New Day characters, forcing cereals and flinging pancake's into the crowd is really something that could irk the new Daniel Bryan.
Or with Fast Lane beeing in Cleveland, Daniel Bryan ruins The Miz moment to win the tag titles in his hometown, setting up.a Wrestlemania program.
Nothing yet.
DeleteIt's looking like it's Miz vs Shane at Mania where I'm sitting.
With Charlotte and Becky both odds on now I'm thinking your idea of them being joint winners is a serious possibility now!
ReplyDeleteHope so!
DeleteI hope not. Enough of Charlotte Flair taking every Spot...
DeleteI can see Becky Lynch winning by cheating at the Royal Rumble, doing whatever it takes to win back her belt and in storyline turning her back heel to keep Asuka strong and having Asuka as the babyface in the feud.
ReplyDeleteWhen they booked this Becky Lynch turn she wasn't supposed to be a babyface so I think they will do something to turn her back at this ppv.
I don't think so. Crowd would not buy WWE knows that.
DeleteA few months ago, I had noted in the comments that Cena vs. Drew McIntyre was the likely plan for Mania and you replied "Good luck with that."
ReplyDeleteFeeling a little silly about that sentiment yet?
Not really because, if it happens, it would be because of a change in plans.
DeleteBut if you want your moment, well done you.
Your comment was made on December 6th and you said it was happening because Cena .vs. McIntyre was booked for house shows.
DeleteNews of Lars Sullivan .vs. John Cena being scrapped because of Sullivan's problems were first reported on January 11th.
So, nope.. I don't feel silly at all.
testblog wants his wrestlemania moment, dammit!
DeleteIt doesn't work like that. He should have spent the next couple of days pointing at the WrestleMania logo first!
DeleteHahaha, what is wrong with people...
