The oddsmakers from Kambi have added new specials to their coverage of WrestleMania.
The first is an attendance prop where customers can place bets on the number that is announced by WWE during the show.
There are three options to wager on.
'Lower than Super Bowl XLVIII (82,528 or less)' is 6/4, 'Between 82,529 and 83,500' is 7/4 and 83,501 or more' is 3/4.
I don't know if I will end up placing a wager on this market, but here are some things I've looked up along with some thoughts.
The last time WWE held a WrestleMania at MetLife (Mania 29 in 2013), the number that was announced was 80,676. As this is pro wrestling, I am sure the company will give out a higher number than the previous Mania in the stadium.
To highlight my point - WrestleMania XXX from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome had an announced figure of 75,167 but that was beaten by the 78,133 that was claimed for last year's show from the same venue.
The time proposition is a 'Yes' or 'No' on the live broadcast ending after 12AM Eastern Time (5AM BST).
Going by how late the past few WrestleManias have ended, it isn't surprising to see the 'Yes' a 1/2 favourite.
One thing that I wouldn't use as a guide to place a bet on this market is the time that WrestleMania 29 ended. Even though it was not too long ago, it was still a different period as this was before the launch of the WWE Network. Since then, shows - especially the most recent WrestleManias - have ran long. This was not by accident as WWE had told its broadcast partners to expect shows overrunning.
